"Dear Lee,I just came across this site, its a wonderful way for others to share memories of you. I hope by now that you and my Anthony have met up there in that huge sky! It has been 2 years for him. To lose such young men as you, Billy and him in short period of time is beyond words. I see your wife and daughter and they are doing well, Jess seems to be happy but will never lose the part of your heart that she has. Anthony use to tell me things about you and he was crushed when you died. He had some great pictures of you from your senior cookout at Blue Ridge, you were all suited up in your military uniform. You were doing what you thought needed to be done. If it wasn't for young men like you and Billy, where would we all be today? I wish you Peace in heaven and watch over your loved ones back home, they will always need you to guide them through this journey."
Pat Holden Anthony Survilla's mom of Hallstead, Pa USA

"Well Lee its been over a year now and the pain and the hurt still remain for those left behind. They say that time heals all wounds . . . they forgot that the scars remain forever. Weve all dealt with this in different ways and I still search for the right one. Only time and thinking of the good memories weve shared have helped. The tattoo that we started together the day before you left for Iraq is now finished, only I added to your original design. It now symbolizes all of the good times and the fun times but most of all it symbolizes my brother and my friend. You always taught everyone you knew to live without fear and to be yourself no matter what the consequences might be. This to me was your most important lesson to us all. You always were ahead of your time with everything Lee but mostly in your wisdom. Only you could brighten up the rainiest of days. I miss you my brother. You always have been and forever will be my hero, until we meet again."
George of Susquehanna

Little Lisa Marie of Susquehanna, PA

"Jess, I just want you to know that we are praying for you and Jordan. I know how hard it was when they told me of my son being killed and I know that words can't bring them back but my prayers are that we can all heal from this and that our soldiers will watch over all we do. I have some great pictures of Billy and Lee and some of the other soldiers. I hope some day soon to be able to share them with you when you are ready. Billy and Lee were good friends and as I am finding out, alot of the men that lost their lives there were close. Now I feel I must keep going on without Billy but hopefully in some way make him proud of me as much as I am proud of him and all the men of C CO. Let me know if you need anything."
Judy Evans of Hallstead PA
