My brother was Chad B Maynard and he was in the same vehicle as Tyler. Although I don't know him, I am proud just the same. He and all the rest of those Marines in the humvee were very brave and honerable. May God give our souls peace as we share this burden together. My deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of Tyler S. Trovillion."

"Tyler's Mother: I hope you remember me, I met you and your son at SixFlags when you came to visit Tyler. I hurt me a lot when I found out we lost him, I am still sad I will never forget what he did for me. He was my patient on OIF II, I took care of him there and when we came back. Just to let you know that he was one of the best Marines I ever met, I can go on and on but I am sure you know how great of a Marine he was. I just found this site and I am glad I did because I wanted to contact you for a while. Please if there is anything I can do for you or your family let me know. Say hello to your son. God bless you and your family.

"To Tyler's family, We want to express the great sorrow we feel at the loss of your son. Our son Joel, served with "Corporal T" at Ramadi and had a great deal of respect for him, you see, Cpl. T stuck up for the younger guys. And last year during SOI when our son had a hometown friend seriously injured in Iraq, Tyler and his mother took him out to eat and to get away for awhile. Now what kind of guy is that! Tyler cared about people and in making a difference. We will not forget the sacrifice that was made. Our thoughts and prayers are with you."

"As a younger man he heard our nations call and offered his service.
As a young man he shaped his body and mind.
As a young Marine he left for danger with the weight of a country on his shoulders.
As a Marine he took the fight to our enemy in daylight and dark.
As a Marine he stood tall in his service. To our foes he stood in the way.

As we lay him to rest we remember how much we owe to brave young men; brave young Marines; this brave Marine."
