"Brandon Ramsey,

Today, on Nisan 14, we commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which gives us hope of reuniting with you once again. Grandma CC, Barbara, Jeremy, and Lenard have also departed, and their absence is deeply felt. Your presence is dearly missed, and we are grateful for all that you brought into our lives.

As we look ahead to the promise of a new system of things, we hold onto the memories and love we shared with you. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

With love and remembrance"

"I regret not knowning Brandon well. I remember him walking past our tent when we got back from missions and he always stopped to say, "How you doin, sergeant." He would always nod and I would nod back in acknowledgement. Unfortunately the last time I saw him was moments after he left this earth. Eight years have passed in a blink of an eye, but not a day goes by when I don't remember. That day is as vivid to me as a moment yesterday. As all our brothers who gave all, Brandon will never be forgotten. I promise. . .I never will. The 9 lives through Brandon. . and Brandon lives through us."
R.Padilla , 933rd MP Co 99'-05' of Chicago, IL

"Brandon,
We are coming upon another year of your passing andd i can still remember how hard it hit us. I remember being on route security and getting the "rally" call from our LT saying to meet him by one of the bridges, we all met and then he told us what happened. We were in shock but knew we had to "Charlie Mike" (continue mission).I knew our jobs as Gunners was dangerous but it didnt really hit home til that minute.
I sit here almost 8 years later, higher in rank and with more responsibility knowing that it is only a matter of time before we go back to "the box" and now I am the one who is responsible for a squad of people and it weighs heavy on my mind everyday. I tell my soldiers your story all the time, not only so they know the real dangers of THE JOB but also so they know who our hero is. I can count on one hand how many times i have taken your rememberance bracelet off, people ask why i dont take it off at airports and stuff and simply put, because i cant. you gave all and its the least i can do.

dont know why but for some reason you were in my head all day today. We miss ya brother, the world is a lesser place because you arent in it. watch over the 9 on our next deployment

28th Birthday! It's only happy to think of you but so sad to know you are not here. But, here we are again enduring another year without you. Gosh, you are missed so much and still loved. When I woke up this morning the first thing I thought of was how much I wish you were here. Brandon Ramsey, you are forever in my heart and the girls and I thank you for doing something in this world to make our time here a little longer."

"I never formally met you Brandon. I was at Tallil with the 726th Maint Co which was right next to where the 933 MP was set up. Every morning i would walk by as the 933rd was setting vehicles up for their daily mission. I would usually make eye contact with the soldiers and would nod and smile. It hadn't really set in yet for me just how dangerous Iraq actually was...we were on a huge base and for the most part was a very peaceful place. The morning i found out about your death it hit home ...like a truck load of bricks. I attended your memorial at Tallil. This was a moment in time I will never forget, as the command and soldiers put everything into showing you the utmost respect and honor and all while dealing with the devestaing loss. Thank you protecting us. You will never be forgotten."
James of Boston, MA

"Well...where do I start? I never met SPC Ramsey. But I will tell you a couple things of what I KNOW! I joined the 933rd MP CO pretty much after they got back from being in-country. There was the 1st platoon, which I had the pleasure of serving with. I will tell you one thing that I was tought and that I was told about...and that was Brandon! Whoever reads this I can personally say that Brandon is not forgotten nor will he EVER be. I served with the 933rd MP CO at Ft. Mcoy, Wi. My first AT. Let it be known, this AT was a couple of years after we lost our brother! (I hope that I can call him my brother, even though I did not serve with him)We had to make up a call sign for radio traffic and somewhere out of the blue...someone said..."let it be RAMSEY BASE"! Well...that's what it was! I will never forget that day! So a year goes by and I find myself with the 9 again! This time at Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas. we had shirts made that represented the 933rd MP CO before. But as I walked into the admin building, there was a shirt hanging on the wall as a rememberance to SPC Ramsey where everyone could sign and give to his family. Just within those couple of years that I spent with the 9, I will tell you that SPC Brandon Ramsey will NEVER be forgotten! I just wish I had the pleasure of meeting him! God bless to the soldiers that had the pleasure of serving with him, god bless all who knew him and god bless his family for he was a "SOLDIER" HOOAH! SPC RAMSEY!"
SPC Bill Sullivan of 933rd MP CO

"HI, I couldn't sleep and decided to put my son's name in google and found you. Thank you Brandon for protecting Me and my son Brandon Ramsey. May God bless your family, and most of all May God bless your mother. My heart goes out to here."

"Happy B-Day to my little big brother! This would have been 27 years that I would have had with him by my side. I remember a different memory of Brandon AKA B-Lee everyday that I wake. It is all the small things that he did to affect peoples lives that really inspire me to continue on and help others. I am praying that this madness stop real soon and all you families that are with out your loved ones now get them all back in one piece. Love to all the family that showed love to Brandon on this day as well as friends. BRANDON WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PRESENSE IN MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIFE!"

Still I miss you so much and there is not a day that goes by when you aren't thought of. The girls always speak about you and miss you too.
To all the families of other fallen soldiers my prayers go out to you as well everyday. Please God, let this evil stop and bring all of Brandon's fellows home to their families.
Love always."

"My name is Cameron Schilling. I am a college student from central Illinois. I am the first generation of my family not to serve his country. I am extremely grateful for the sacrifice you and your loved one has given for the United States. I am disappointed by the way the news media has covered this war and the deaths of our youth. The media has stopped listing the names of the soldiers killed in Iraq and people only talk about the soldiers when we reach a specific milestone in deaths. If you just started watching the news today you would not even know there is a war going on. Partisan politics have replaced coverage of our young generation who have traveled to a foreign land in the name of the United States. Whether you believe the war in Iraq is wrong, right, justified or not everyone should pay even just a little more attention to what these young men and women are sacrificing. This is what I would like to do. I want to do my part in honoring these soldiers and their memories. Along with being a college student I am also a budding artist. I draw pencil portraits of local people in my community. I want to offer a pencil portrait sketch to the immediate family of every Illinois soldier killed in Iraq. Please contact me at cameronschilling84@hotmail.com."

"To the Ramsey Family and the soldiers of th 933rd MP Co

While I was serving in Iraq along side of the 933rd there was not a more important mission then that of the 933rd. Their efforts kept our soldiers of the 110th Maint Co safe while we did our missions on the roads of Iraq. Were it not for soldiers like Brandon I canhonestly say our missions would have had much more danger. To Brandon's family I truely am sorry at your loss and hope that where ever you are that you are proud of his service. He was a hero in every way."
SFC Robert Lanois of Leominster MA

"To the Family of PFC Brandon Ramsey:

My friends and I have constructed a memorial to the service men and women from Wisconsin and Illinois who have died in Iraq which includes, as of 7/12/05, 112 crosses and Stars of David. We would like your permission to put Brandon's name on one of them.
We have called our display "Arlington Midwest" and it is located in Wisconsin Dells, WI.
It is our expression of mourning for the indescribable loss you have suffered for our country.

If you would like us to do this, please email me at ArlingtonMidwest@yahoo.com.

We invite you to visit Arlington Midwest. I can send you directions and some pictures by email.

"I never met SPC Brandon Ramsey, however I served in Iraq at the same location, and I knew his unit very well as for I am an MP too. On 27 November 2004 I celebrated the birth of my baby girl. Before I left to take my wife to the hospital I put on my memorial bracelet of SPC Brandon Ramsey. I wanted someone to look after my wife and my soon to be baby girl during the pregnancy. It was very important to me that I have someone that fought and endured everything that I had during my 1 year in Iraq. I am very proud to say that I have healthy baby girl. My heart goes out to his family and friends for there who are still grieving.

"Some gave their lives that other may live. Words will never be enough to fill the heart that is yearning to hold their child. I know because I too have been there. But I know that our heart is a place where we hold pictures that are dear to us. I often remember my child and think why me but then I say why not me. To be able to have one more day, one more hour, one more moment would be what we desire. But for the time we did have them we can trust that they knew that they were loved and that someone was changed because they have touched their lives. Today we may not be able to see the many thousands of people that have been changed because the knew Brandon and his life touched theirs but we will know someday in the not too distant future. My son Spc Gino Maldonado serve with Brandon and I can truly say that he has been changed and made a better person because your child touched my childs life. May the Lord turn your mourning into rejoices someday. I will be forever grateful that Brandon came to the earth to be a part of it and left it a better place.

Before I walk out the door to face the world, I put on a bracelet with the name of our dear friend Brandon Ramsey. To the Ramsey Family, thank you for raising such an exceptional son who gave up his heart, soul, and life to give me the chance to live. "Military Police Corps Regimental Prayer
By Chaplain Michael Yarman

Heavenly Father - We approach You today because You have called us to be a people of prayer.

We praise You because You are our Creator, our Redeemer and our Provider.

We acknowledge our great need for You as we fulfill our mission as soldiers.

We have been called to serve our nation as Military Police and we are proud of the honored heritage of the Regiment and our motto: Of the Troops and For the Troops.

Whether we are fighting an enemy, securing as area, patrolling the streets, or helping someone in distress, help us, O Lord, to always be men and women of integrity who can be counted on to do the right thing.

Give us the strength to stand for what is right and to oppose those who would do harm to our nation and the people we serve.

May we always be truthful in Word, Deed and Signature, and bring honor through our service to the memory of those in the Regiment who gave the supreme sacrifice for their country.

Guide us now, Father, by giving us wisdom and knowledge from on high, that as Military Police we will always be prepared to Assist, Protect and Defend."
