"To the Martinez family, He was one of the first people I met when I got to Germany. I walked into my room and there he sat waiting for my roommate who at the time I still had yet to meet. I knew from that point on that I was going to see a lot of SGT Martinez and that I would grow to call him Friend. Not a day goes by that I don't think about that horrible day when SGT Martinez and myself were tasked out to take Soldiers to Camp Anaconda. I blame myself although I know there was nothing I could do to stop that truck from rolling over. I am extremely sorry from the deepest parts of my soul for your loss.
