"I served with PFC Ludlum in Iraq. He was a fun-loving guy and a hard worker--which was a good thing because he always had to keep showing me how to keep my radios working right. :-). He left us way too soon over there...

To Jason's loved ones: The last time I saw Jason was when we dropped him off at Comanche so he could take over as the commo specialist there. We joked around for a few minutes, then he grabbed his rucksack and walked off to start working. He was happy."

"To the Family and Friends of PFC Jason C. Ludlam:
PFC Ludlam, personally will not be forgotten. I remember meeting him as his unit came to Baqubah, Iraq to replace my unit after providing communications for over a long year. I meet him as I was on duty and he asked if he could see the equipment that he heard we had. I said, " sure, let me give you a class on it". So I showed him the more modern radio equipment my unit had unlike his. He was impressed and asked what it was like in Iraq. All I could tell him was that its hard, and to always do the right thing and listen to your leaders. Upon this I found out he had guard duty a few nights later and I was to be the seargent of the guard for that night. I remember him cause we had the same first names and I use to goto arlington alot growing up in oklahoma. A few days later my unit left to head home. While I in the convoy back to kuwait I found out he had died. I felt tore up especially after the long chat we had on guard duty listening to his dreams. I just want you to know that I'm glad that I met Jason and want you to know he was a great soldier to serve with and you should be very proud of him. I will remember him forever."
