I only met Lance Corporal Lopez-Lopez once. He was brought in to our aid station at COP Rawah, I will never forget the strength and courage he had. The entire time he was there his concern was not for himself but for the rest of the Marines with him. He continued to encourage his fellow Marine who was injured to stay strong and that he would be okay. Since that day I have tried to live my life with that amount of courage and strength. In the brief time I was blessed to be near Lance Corporal Lopez-Lopez my life has been forever changed. I thank you for raising such a strong and honorable son."
