The bulldozer rolled into the river. LCPL Lam dropped his helmet and flak and his rifle and went into the river to save another Marine. No one witnessed his courage but he died trying to save another Marine. He will forever be a hero."

"It's tough having to deal with the loss of a friend. I remember when my unit was first inserted in the southern tip of Iraq, not more than a month after we got there, we were ambushed.
