"still think of you daily, and cry as I type this! I think of our random trips to Mc Donalds.. and you in the back of my police car!! Haha...never because you were in trouble, only because you were smart..Dude your sacrifice to this country will never be forgotten. I speak for many, even us who were soldiers with you, you will never be forgotten. As I grow older I wish I had one more hug, one more pinch of dip, and one more chance to say I love ya. Continue to Rest my brother, until we meet again."

Well, its 2012 and I still think about you often. I came across some pictures of us on St Patricks Day and had to laugh, mainly at the one where you jumped onto my lap and the plastic lawn chair shattered everywhere LOL! ...It's hard to believe your gone! Everytime I go home and I look over at your house...
...When they told me you were gone I couldn't believe it because it seemed as if we just spoke...
I will cherish all our memmories together my friend, like the time we use to go in the old house in between our houses and play mini baskeball, or play kung-fu, or go hiking in woods...lol; those were the days, you are truely missed. I know your mom is there with you."

"Jason,
I love you and miss you so much. I've been told that time makes things better but its been 7 years and to me it seems like yesterday that we were having a food fight in McDonalds and how good it felt for you to run your fingers through my hair and tell me you love it because you didn't have any. I will never forget you, you are my world and always will be. I do wish the tears would stop, my eyes hurt so bad. I wish I could be in your arms again if for only 5 mins. Just long enought to tell you that I love you and I always will. No one will ever take your place. Your my Knight In Shinning Armor, remember? I'm still here waiting on you to come carry me away to happness.
I LOVE YOU JASON!!! Your always with me."

""THE FINAL INSPECTION
The soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now you soldier,
how shall I deal with you?
Have you always
turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and
said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays
and at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills just got too steep,
and I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear,
and sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord
It needn't be so grand
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the soldier waited quietly,
for the judgement of his God,
"Step forward now, you soldier
You've bourne your burdens well,
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell""

We talked and drank and danced and said goodbye
We laughed until we cried

"SGT Jordan,
I learned of what had happened while scanning a list on the internet and I stumbled across your name. I'm deeply saddened by what I found that day. You were a good friend, a good soldier, and a good brother. You were an inspiration to me SGT and I'll never forget that. I look back to times at Ft. Riley, my charished memories of the past, and remember all the times that our fellow Hellraisers got us mixed up, thinking I was you and You were me. I guess we would have to resemble one another pretty well if troops were coming up to you asking about request forms and such, and troops coming up to me asking if that mortar tube was taken to 101st for bore scoping! I remember the time you SPC Crane and I had a few beers in yer room and watched The Last Castle. I remember also your pride for your shinny red truck. I also remember the chats we had while we were both clearing post you for PCS and I for ETS. I'll never forget how glad you were to get yer E-5 stripes too. I never got the oppertunity, but I wanted to take a snap shot of us to send to my folks to show them I had a twin from Alabama. Unfortunately because of that list they got to see. I wish that things could be different. Deep down I wish I could have some how did my part. I may not be a soldier in the Army anymore, but at heart, once a soldier always a soldier. Since I cannot help out over there, I'll do my best over here. I will always remember you SGT, I can even still remember the sound of your voice. You will be missed always, and your family will always be in my prayers. I will always honor and charish your memory. I consider myself blessed and honored to have been able to serve with you in HHC 1-34 AR. Well SGT, take it easy, and when I get up there too, we'll have a few, well I dont know if the good Lord will allow beer up there, but we'll have a few drinks of something and catch up on old times. Keep an eye on us from up there brother, and dont PT Jesus too hard, he does have holes in his hands and feet ya know! Miss ya SGT. May God's light shine on you for ever and ever, and may he be with your family always. Razer Xray out."

"Jason...Wow, what a suprise to me when I found your name on here. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to know you while you were stationed at Ft.Riley. You will forever have a special place in my heart because of the wonderful person that you were. God Bless You...You will never be forgotten."

"In Loving Memory..Its been a year..
At the rising of the sun and at its going down, We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring, We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer, We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn, We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
Rest in Peace Dear Soldier!!! We will NEVER FORGET!"

Do not ever think for a minute that we your best friends could forget you. Our daughter is a reminder every minute of every day with your name. But we wouldnt have it any other way! "They wear the uniform
Proud and true
They protect our Nation
For me and you.
They give of themselves
So unselfishly
They leave their homes
And their families
They are on foreign soil
In a foreign land
Our men and women
Who are taking a stand
They are on guard
Day and night
They are weary for sleep
But prepared to fight
They see death and destruction
In this war torn place
But its all worth the effort
When they see a smiling face
They remember why they are there
Through all the sadness and sorrow
Its to ensure for the children
A better tomorrow
May god keep and protect the men and women who have chosen to protect us and our nation...""

"At about the same time the Jordan family was getting the horrific experience of notification from the Army of the loss of their son, I too was getting a phone call. From deep sleep I was awakened to a young officer wanting to notify me of something bad. For perhaps 15 seconds I experience dread and anguish until I learned that my son was wounded and mostly whole. That anguish I felt was for 15 seconds, the Jordan family has felt ever since and forever more. My heart goes out to them. I do not know why my son was spared and their son Jason was not. Only three feet seperated our sons. Jason will NOT be forgotten! From that incident of July 20th a movement has emerged. The father of a son also lost in that incident has vowed to place an individual memorial in the hometown of EVERY service person lost in this War on Terror. And with the Jordan family's permission, the very first such memorial will be in Elba, Alabama, for Jordan.
Please visit: www.lesttheybeforgotten.org
Please become part of this project."

"Mr. and Mrs. Jordan,
I cannot begin to express in words the sorrow, gratitude, and respect I have for your son, and your family. I am Justins cousin, I just returned from his home and his funeral. I wanted you all to know that our hearts were with you and your family as well. Although the feeling of loss we have will never be eliminated, we must believe that they are together again, serving a higher commander, and looking over us all. The level of respect and admiration that has been expressed by your sons fellow soldiers only enforces my belief that Jason and Justin were chosen for a reason, God only takes the best! I really find it hard to say all I feel I need to in this way, so to you and your family, thank you, god bless you, and if there is ever anything we can do, let me know. Our families will always share this tragic, common bond."
Andrew Bertrand of Houston. TX
