"I'm sorry I wasn't able to watch out for him more. I don't know if he ever told you about me or talked about me to you Ms. Valadez, but he always called me his "cunyó" I think is how you spell it. But he told me it meant brother in-law. I know you already know. But he loves you and his little brother so much. He talked about y'all all the time. Me and him spent every single day together after he got to ft. Stewart. He loved you and his little brother so much. I miss him everyday and think about him everyday. The only thing I have is a few pictures of him. His picture will always hang on my wall and I won't ever forget him. I owe him and you that honor. Again I'm sorry, I tried to watch out for him and have his back as much as I could. I don't know if you or his brother will ever read this. But just know there is more than just y'all that miss him. He was as close to brother as I've ever had."

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

""damn cuz i can beilve u gone it was like yesterday although it been 2 years i miss you ....love you lotz""
stephanie garibay guerra of concord ca,

I've looked at your page often never knowing what to say. I realized today though, through these years, that I don't believe my words could ever express how much you are missed. Your mother is in my prayers everyday, I know she's proud of you. I talked to some of our friends last week who are going back in the next couple of days. I know it sounds crazy, but I wished I could go back with them and do my part in keeping them safe like you did everyday for us. I know you are with them in spirit watching them still, keep them safe for me. I miss you."
SGT D.C. Buckley of Charlotte, NC USA

"To the family and loved ones of Ernesto R. Guerra:

I participated in a candlelight vigil last evening here in San Diego, CA, honoring the 3,000 U.S. heroes who have lost their lives in Iraq. Many of us received a small black ribbon to wear with the name of a service member. My ribbon had Ernesto's name. I thought you would want to know that Ernesto has been remembered, honored and cherished here in San Diego. Thank you for your sacrifice. May you be at peace. (dwarlick@san.rr.com)"
Donna J. Warlick of San Diego, CA

"Hi G,
I'm a civilian now, constantly reminiscing about our time at Stewart. Funny how true the saying "you don't know what you got 'till it's gone" really is. Living here in the nations capital, it was all I could do not to cry this Veterans Day in rememberance of soldiers like you who gave up everything for everyone here at home. I wish you could have come back with us. Just know that none of 4-3 BTB will ever forget you. We love you."
Aylea Baldwin of Washington, D.C.
