"To Mrs. Gray and family

I worked with Sgt. Gray when we were in 3/8 cav I was his PLL clerk. I remember him being silly in the motorpool. I remember what hurt the most at our last good bye to him was his children. My heart goes out to you and your family. To the kids, I want you to know that your Daddy was a great guy. He was putting smiles on the faces of his co workers all the time. Just remember your Daddy loved you guys very much. I Salute you and your family. Continue to stay strong. Make him Proud I am sure he is with you."

"It saddens me how Sgt Gray went to rest. I was in a state of disbelief that morning. But I was amazed how his comrads all spoke highly of him. I even over heard stories in the dining facility how he was very much loved. This was a great man. Never have I heard so many say so much good about one person. Although the loss is ours, God has gained a Fallen Hero.

"Dear Mrs Gray,
I never got the chance to express my condolences to you. Sgt Gray worked for me before he left with C Co to go up North. I think about him all the time. I still remember the day, the minute, when I was told that we had lost him. I will always remember him with a big old grin on his face. He was always smiling, it seemed. He was a hard worker and a great guy. I'm sorry for your loss. He was a true hero."

"I knew Tommy for a long time. Went to RHS with him and he was my best friend. I lost contact with him after i left RHS and moved to Farmington to finish HS. I wrote him one time and received a letter saying that he was in the Service. I lost that letter until i found it two years ago around the time that he died. I did not know that he died until 4-24-06. I will always miss him and i would love to meet his wife and kids someday and tell them that they had a great dad."

"I had the pleasure of knowing Tommy for about 2 1/2 years. I worked at the Plasma Center in Killeen and twice a week he would come in and donate. He did not do it for money but because he said someday hopefully he would make a difference to someone. If he only knew what a difference he made not only to the thousands of people who received his plasma but to the people he befriended during his visits. We shared quite a few good times and many laughs and I take comfort in knowing that the gentle giant is watching over me in Heaven. This world is a better place for having him on earth for the time he was given. Thank you Tommy--YOU ARE MY HERO----"
