"My name is Dana, and I am the wife of a 3d ID soldier. We had a Division Ball on April 25, 2009. Every person who attended was given a memory bracelet to honor a brave soldier who gave their life for our country while attached to the 3d ID. I just wanted to say that I am thinking of Jason and his family. And I am wearing my bracelet proudly."

"I met Gunny in Iraq and had the task of showing him around his new assigned area for a couple of weeks. We spent several nights out there just talking and he spoke alot about family. In the short time I had with him it was easy to tell he loved his family, his country, and his soldiers. He will forever be remembered as a hero.

"My Name is Casey Elliott i went to school with Jason in Banner County and grew up with him as well. Jason was the greatest friend i could have ever asked for. He was always there for me and my stupidity. His famous words to me in any situation was " Cowboy Up" He always was the joking type. I remember Jason as one of the family as did my family to him. He was there through it all from rolling my pickup truck to mooning the football team from Potter Dix to talking our way out of trouble with the police he was good at that. He had a tendensy to get mouthy at rodeos we went to which led to me getting him out of trouble. He was a special guy I miss you buddy and i Love ya."
Casey Allen Elliott of Harrisburg Nebraska

Samantha of ATL, GA

"My name is Samantha. I was a friend of Jason's. We partied and danced til the sun came up on Friday nights in Nashville. The whole Charlie Crew. We watched movies, drank a lot of beer, and laughed until we cried. Our most special time was the weekend before he left but at that time I never knew how special it was and how many times in my life I would think of it and try my best ot remember every part of it. I still wear his memory bracelet religiously and I think of him each day. On the hard days I plead with God to let me talk to him once more in my dreams. I pray for Shayanne and Aiden each and every holiday. I can not imagine my pain being worst when it comes to that man and for that, I can not imagine the type of miss his family carries. This was the one man that positively influenced every person he crossed paths with, every soldier he met looked up to, and was the one person I'd ever met that did nothing but try to protect me. I have the pictures from that last weekend, and perhaps the last pictures taken of him in the states. I would be more than happy to give copies to his family. You can contact me at 615-485-5816 or Samantha_Sutton-DeArmond@hotmail.com My Jason, you were a Hero and God Sent Gift. You influenced my life in a way that nobody ever has. Not a day passes that I don't think of you and your pictures remain around the house. I laugh when I see you do your Hurricane's dance or think of you singing "Breaker Breaker 1-9"...I love you and I miss you. May God be with your family and that little boy."
Samantha of Sutton-DeArmond

"In Our Hearts

We thought of you with Love today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And the days before that too.

We think of you in silence
We often speak your name
Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake
With which we’ll never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
