"Michael,

I think of you often. I want to say I am sorry that we could never seem to get along. I was so young at the time and trying to lead men such as yourself who were far more experienced. I tried my best. I will never forget the day you passed. I wish we could have brought you back. My heart aches when I think about you and your family. You will never be forgotten. I will see you again someday. SSG Jeremy Baker"
Jeremy Baker of Sierra Vista, Arizona/USA

"Yesterday you were honored at the St. Petersburg VA Administration at a Fallen Soldiers Memorial. I went and spoke in your honor. Your picture was flashed constantly throughout the ceremony. Your name was spoken out loud with all the other Florida fallen soldiers. It was a very emotional and moving ceremony. I am glad I was able to represent our family."
Mary Ann Warner of Vero Beach, FL

"Another Memorial Day, another trip to your grave. I bring you flowers and a flag each year. I stand and read what Lynn had inscribed on your tombstone and the news of your death comes flooding back to my memory. It doesn't seem real that you are no longer here to watch your children grow up. My heart goes out to Lynn and your Mom and Dad...how they must miss you! My thanks goes to you as always for serving your country and paying the ultimate price."
Mary Ann Warner of Vero Beach, FL

"Once again, I went to visit your grave. There are no words to describe how proud I am that I am your Aunt. I am honored to salute you and your sacrifice. Your children live on and you will live through them. I will always miss you, though."

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry at times. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take your families and friends pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

A hundred times a day, I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends on the labors of other men, living and dead, and I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am receiving. - Albert Einstein"
