"To the Family I can only say that I hope you find peace, This is part of a letter that was written by President Lincoln that I think says it best. Godspeed

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,"
Chris Meyerson of Reisterstown

I can only hope that I made you proud as you are one of the many reasons why I chose life. There is nothing but laughter, warmth, and smiles when I think of you and Medina. Thank you for giving me a second chance and risking your neck getting me out of there. I am in your debt always!!! Your brother in arms."

"""As a veteren of K Co 3/3 and a very short stint (2 Months with G Co)(1986-1990)MCAS K-Bay it saddens me to hear of the loss of my brother Marine but I know he left us bravley fighting to keep my family safe from the evils of the world keeping with the highest traditions of the Corps. I'm now to old to reenlist but if I could I would."""

"Just this hour and day (Fri, Nov 18th), I learned of David's passing when I heard David's name spoken by Rep. Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I was a close friend of David's mother. David has an older sister [Annie] whose 8th Grade teacher I was. David was a warm, deep gentle and wonderful soul.

David -- you most assuredly shine as brightly this moment in the invisible Lands of Light that surround us as you did when you were among us. Go with God, and may His loving arms enfold you."

"I'm Bill Perry, a Paratrooper-Combat Veteran of the Viet Nam war. Just like you, Dave, I was incredibly proud to take the Oath to defend our Constitution. Unfortunately, the politicians representing the Investor Class in my War, as well as your War,really stretched in their definition of protecting America.
I am now incredibly proud to work with your Mom, Tia S, and Cindy S, Lila L, Sue N, Celeste Z, and all the wonderful Moms & Dads who are working SO HARD to save the lives of all our Brothers & Sisters in Harms' Way.
I know you're really proud of Mom, too !

"My name is Barb Fischer, I am a member of the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run that erected and maintains the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles,Ill. On June 18th 2005 over twenty thousand motorcycles rode again to a rededication of the wall to update it and pay our very deepest respects and gratitude to those who have given their lives in these conflicts. Each participant was given a set of dog tags to wear with a heroes name on it. I was most honored to receive David's name. I wore his dog tag and was extremely proud but humbled to even think of representing his spirit at the dedication. I hope David was looking down and was pleased. God bless him and his family and friends. I would be more then happy to making a rubbing of his name from the wall for any of his loved ones who would like to have it. You may contact me at Blikawolf@sbcglobal.net or visit www.ilfreedomrun.org to see the monument or receive directions to come and visit. Thank You Barb"
