"Just loving the family of Timothy and sharing their memories today as I read those who posted notes in the past."

"I wrote the following a very long time ago. It still remains true today....

"It's been over 2 years now. I am struggling to write this. I simply have no knowledge of words that would describe who and what Tim was for so many people. What a wonderful person, a beautiful heart, and a truly devoted man. I knew Tim as the kind of person that every parent wishes were their kid, every wife wishes for this kind of husband, and every person wishes for this kind of friend. The world lost a very special person that night in February. We all stood there, staring at each other in utter silence. We realized Tim wouldn't be returning from the flight. Shock, disbelief, immense and incredible sadness filled everyone's hearts, for this was no ordinary man. This was a man who truly was a friend to all and a soldier to our country. When other's chose to walk an easier path, Tim stood by his convictions and allegiances to people and his career. While many people would like to believe they possess that ability, it is indeed a rarity, one which I have never since witnessed.
Please know that Tim was an example for so many...someone who we all wish that we could have been like, if even a little bit. My heart goes out to Lisa and the kids, Tim's parents and the rest of his family. You knew how wonderful he was, thankyou for sharing him with the rest of us. I will forever miss him and I will never forget him.""

"Tim, although we didnt have the chance to get to know one another very well during the UH60 Instructor Pilots course I feel honored to have known you my friend. Not a day went by when it was finally my turn to deploy to Iraq and I was overseas that I didnt think about you. Sadly loosing you was an ever reminder of how dangerous our job is and it drove me to be ultra-safe in the preparation and execution of my dutis as an instructor when I arrived in Kuwait. I have fond memories of all of us at Rucker standing for our cheesy class photo in front of the Blackhawk back during election time where you and I made fun of the one Democrat in the class all standing alone by himself while we held Bush/Chaney signs. Your face and memories are forever burned into my mind. My sincere appology goes out to your beloved wife who answered an email I sent you to catch up on old times, having not heard the terrible news she was the first to break it to me. Lisa, please move forward with your life and as you know Tim would have wanted you to do. Until we meet good friend look after your family from above and brethren in the skies in and around Iraq. I'll miss you Tim!"

"Thank you for your kind words. It is very difficult for people to truely understand what I am going through with the recent loss of my husband SGT Galvan. I read your message a short while ago and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will continue to pray for your loss as well as mine and for the troops still left to fight. May god spare anymore people from such a tragic loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers."

"Tim, It's been a year and a half since you died, and I still sit here with tears pouring down my face as I write this. I hadn't spoken to you since you PCSd to Germany in the summer of '00, but when Lynn called me from work to tell me it was you so many memories came flooding back. As one of the first PCs I flew with as a young 2LT, you were a giant to me. I will ALWAYS remember you with a pipe in your mouth and a smile on your face. The time we spent TDY in D.C. (bored out of our minds) is now precious: buying Christmas trees, shopping for sun glasses after your rental car was stolen and going to the Smithsonian museums. Most importantly, I will always remember being crewed with you in the field when I got to know (and fall in love with) my husband. You are forever a part of that important event in my life, and no one can ever replace that. We're in Germany now, and I was so excited about seeing you, Lisa and the kids again. Tim, you were an awesome pilot, one of amazing skill, and you were unflappable in the winds of stupidity that the Army often blows our way. Our good friend Alan was in front of you the night you crashed, and none of us will ever be the same. We all try to go on like it didn't happen, but we can't. You made too big of a mark on our lives.

Lisa, I pray for you every time I remember Tim. I will always remember the utter love and devotion he had for you and the kids. I always loved to hear him talk about how y'all met and how long you had been together. Even though you are so young, I know you spent more than half of your life with this wonderful man! I can't even begin to imagine...I've only known Lynn for 4 years and he is inexplicable intertwined in my life. I was able to speak to some of your old PWOC ladies from Gieb at the ATC in April 2004. I was so pleased to hear that you were apart of their group and that they were able to support and comfort you. I felt so helpless that I could do nothging for you. Lynn and I were still at Ft. Campbell (and he deployed a week later). You are always in my prayers! E-mail if you ever need to: girlinaflightsuit@hotmail.com

Tim, I'll see you soon!"
