I stood with you in brotherhood.....
I stood with you when you married....
I stood with you in chaos, grief and joy....
I stood and read your name under the gaze of Bronze Bruce....
I'll stand with you again my friend....."

"Hey Stacy,
Hard to believe it has been almost 20 years since your sacrifice. Just wanted you to know you haven’t been forgotten. Was actually telling some stories about you and the way you would make me laugh after a BS meeting with the Afghans. Brother will see you soon but not just yet… H8"

"I don't have the right words to express the sadness I feel after finding out Stacy's sacrifice. Nor do I have the words to express the love and respect I have for a childhood friend who served with such honor. I will just say Rest Peacefully, Soldier. You will never be forgotten as long as I live."

"10 years... 10 years and it still feels so recent. I remember those who sacrificed to protect that ability. I am thankful for the families of these fine men who endure and remember them with honor. I still wish I could trade places with Tony or Stacie. I wish I could of done more to save them on this day. I'm sorry I couldn't save them. Everyone else was in the fight, and my job was to fix them, except I couldn't. I'm sorry.

To Stacie's family, I have had 10 years to come up with the right words to express my condolences. The days go by but the pain still stands, there are no words that can express my sorrow. I pray that you and your family has found peace and happiness over the years. Managed to grow and prosper since this tragedy."

"I was a classmate of Stace's at Dougherty High School. As many of our classmates, I joined the military and served in Iraq as did my sister. So I would receive the daily emails of US casualities. I was completely devastated to read Stacy's name on the report. I think I cried the whole day. It was unimaginable. I can only imagine what you must go through. I say all of this to say that I think of Stacy often and I reminded of him each year when I run the Fallen Heroes of GA race and pass is memorial marker along the route. The first year was particularly hard. Memorial Day has always been a hard day for me, as I understand it's true meaning. It is even more difficult because I personally know someone that paid the ultimate sacrifice. As we prepare to celebrate our 25th Class reunion, we will remember Stacy. Your family is in my prayers."
Vanessa of Norcross GA

"Hey Stacy,
