"I served with CPT Damon for only a few months in Afghanistan, but I considered him a friend. He, along with everyone else in the 240th, made me feel welcome even though I was an augmentee from another state. The last time I saw him was 3 years ago today, as I came off shift on the TOC, and I've been thinking of him a lot now that I'm deployed again. He was truly a great individual and he is still sorely missed. My best wishes to his family."
