"Tyler, you are missed so much. You are watching over us, as you always have. I always knew you were such a blessing, and gave my life so much more meaning than I could have ever possibly have imagined ever wanting, or receiving. I have been so touched by the impact you made on so many people. I love you still. To all of the countless supporters, and compassionate people, Thank You is not enough. Please know your acts of kindness have truly meant the world to me. Whenever, I get the chance to talk to someone whose life you impacted it really touches my soul and makes my heart sing. If anyone ever wants to get in touch with myself, Nick, or Katelyn please do...we live in Burlington, KY. Lucia Drive...7008 my email is honeydew7470@aim.com. and my phone number is listed. or my cell # 859-628-9687. For all those who have served with Tyler, know you are always welcome in our home. For all those who have stories, I always love hearing them. Most of all, please know how beloved Tyler was to us. We had many trials and tribulations, and what always got us through was first Trusting in God, the blessings he bestowed, and above all our amazing bond Tyler, Nick, and Katelyn and I have. That alone has been our comfort, and the fact that Tyler is and will always be remembered, beloved, and held in the highest of esteem. I want to say thank you for remembering him and loving him too."

"The soldiers do not speak. Nevertheless, they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say: We are young. We have died. Remember us. They say: We have done what we could but until it is finished it is not done. They say: We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say: Our deaths are not ours: they are yours they will mean what you make them. They say: Weather our lives and our deaths are for peace and a new hope or for nothing we cannot say: it is you who must say this. They say: We leave you our deaths. Give them their meaning. We were young. they say. We have died. Remember us:"

"Two years later this date still burns a hole in my mind Tyler. I try to put as much effort into my life each and every day as you did. As I've been out for nearly a year, some of the fondest memories I have are the times I got to spend with you. The way you lived your life will serve as an example for how I hope to live mine. "The Marine stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Marine,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It ne edn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the Marine waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Marine,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

AMEN TO THAT !
It's the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us the freedom of the press.
It's the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us the freedom of speech.
It's the Soldier, not the politicians
That ensures our right to Life, Liberty
and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.
If you care to offer the smallest token of recognition and appreciation for the
Military,
Please pass this on and pray for our men and women
Who have served and are currently serving our country
And pray for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

"If you are able,
save them a place
inside of you
and save one backward glance
when you are leaving
for the places they can
no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say
you loved them,
though you may
or may not have always.
Take what they have left
and what they have taught you
with their dying
and keep it with your own.
And in that time
when men decide and feel safe
to call the war insane,
take one moment to embrace
those gentle heroes
you left behind.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

"Tyler,
After we graduated 8th grade together at GA, I always wondered where you went. We used to walk Nick and Katie home after school. She was so tiny and so adorable. Nick was always racing ahead, wanting to beat us to the house. You always kept them in line and acted like a little father. I have been constantly trying to find you over the years. You left so abruptly and didn't say goodbye. I missed you. I just found out today about what happened. I am very sad to see that I did not find you in time. I will always miss you and love you. You and your family will forever be in my prayers. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU."
