"To the White family and everyone who was a part of Steve's life. I must say that I, his sister-in-law hated for the day to come when God called my brother home. He will truly be missed by us all. Steve came into our family and touched the lives of many, mine was one of them. He taught me to live my life like only I could live it and not to worry about what everyone says because God and him had my back. Steve, I will remember everything that you taught me and it and you will remain in my heart forever. I love you!"

"To the family of Sgt. 1st Class White. I served with him on his first tour in 2003-04. He was a great leader, always looking out for us, he was a good role model. He would put everyones mind at ease when everything around us was crazy. He was a credit to the Army, and this is a great loss to the society in general. Best wishes to the family."
Sgt. E. Edwards of Fort Bragg, NC
