"Amanda;
Somehow, I just came across this page today. I had to stop what I was doing to share a few minutes to remember. I didn't know Paul, but met you through the motorcycle benefit for you and the kids. Please know that you are in my thoughts often, as are your (and Paul's) kids. If there is ever anything myself or my family can do for you please look me us. We're currently residing in Dover, De. Praying for you, and for Paul's soul."

"Re: SPC Paul William Thomason III

Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 2,800 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

"When SGT Thomason died one of 2nd Squadron's medics, SPC David Orlandini, was riding in the same vehicle and was wounded. While under fire SPC Orlandini crawled from wounded soldier to wounded soldier rendering treatment, including SGT Thomason. He was forced to crawl due to the fact that he had wounds to both feet. I don't want to take anything away from memorializing SGT Thomason here, but I want anyone who reads this to know Orlandini's name."

My heart aches for you and the children. I can only imagine the emptiness within your heart and home. Paul was a wonderful man and will be remembered for his gentleness, his smile and his attitude toward all. Please use the offered hand of all the 278th family. We want to help you and the children in any way we can.
May God bless and confort you,"
