madison savage of bullhead city,arizona,USA

"Jeremiah,
Every time I see that flag I'm reminded of the one you hung in our squad bay. That flag, you gave your life for it. I will never forget you. I still cry by myself at those times. You are my hero. Your story surely lives on in the characters lives you affected. I told my nieces of your sacrifice, showing them the meaning of the colors which you honored. I remember there was nothing you could not fix, nor enemy you feared. RIP marine. See you up there."

"It has been a while my darling son... not a day goes by not a second if the truth be told... things have been happening rather fast here at home. Layton came for a visit and we had an awesome time... I'm sure you know that Jonathan has joined the brotherhood and leaves August 25th for Parris Island... keep an eye on your lil brother... he got his tattoo finished this past Saturday .. you remember Malcolm Rios Ms Rios son... he completed it the first stage was the EGA the day before we left for Arlington to say our final good byes he has added the words In Loving Memory 10/10/82-5/12/04 and your name under it is beautiful... and today your little sister who you would be so proud of she is as stubborn as you will be getting her very first tattoo ... same place as Jon's middle of her shoulderblades it too will be the EGA but it will have 2 dog chains hanging down one to symbolize each of her brothers... with the words my brothers my heros
we love you and miss you so much
know your brothers in the Corp are keeping up with us and getting to know each of them and to hear the stories that they share of you helps more than i can ever begin to tell them...

"Savage,

It has been a long time but I still think about you and the many conversations that we had back in 04 at Hurricane Point. I remember getting off post or getting back from a patrol and talking to you about random things of whatever it was on our minds. I remember talking to you the morning you passed like it was yesterday, and I remember your ceremony at Hurricane Point as well as standing at your ceremony at San Mateo. You were a great guy and a great friend and I'll never forget you or the conversations that we had."
Ben Jackson of Carlsbad, CA

"One of our Civics Teachers, Jerry Smith, and his class spent days before Memorial Day, 2007 printing small American Flags, labeling a Fallen Hero's name, age, rank, and date of loss, then taping them to pencils. The 3000+ "pencil flags" were place in the ground on our campus (Hendersonville High School in N.C.) in hopes that everyone will take one and contact the family of their soldier. I was honored to pick up the name of your son, friend, brother, HERO! I felt an instant sorrow for the loss of such a handsome young man. As always, looking on the website and seeing Jeremiah's picture made "my Hero's name" all the more real.
I just want to say THANK YOU and God Bless your family. Surely you know that the "ultimate sacrifice" Jeremiah made for us will NEVER be forgotten."
Mrs. R. of Hendersonville, NC USA

"To Jeremiah's family, I know the days have passed by ever so slowly, but I hope as the days go by and his children grow they remind you more and more of the one you lost and that those memories will last forever. I know that he is in heaven smiling down on you everyday and helping you with the pain that I am sure still lingers. I am a Marine Corps wife and I live with the fear you have already experienced and I cannot even fathom what you have been through but know that we are still thinking about your family and we will never forget our fallen heroes from one Marine Corps family to another we love you and to Jeremiah, you gave it all and we can never repay you but know that when my son is old enough he will know you by name, and the price you paid for the blanket of freedom you Military men provide."

Thank you for your noble service to the greatest nation on earth. People do not realize the sacrifice persons like yourself make wen fighting for our country. However, evil must always be dealt with and can never be hidden from, no matter how severe the threat. Evil must be shown a firm hand and a resolution that never dies, no matter what the circumastances. For true good always triumphs, no matter what the situation, no matter the cost.
