"I knew SPC Ruiz, same company. I liked him alot, he reminded me of myself as a young soldier. I think about him to this day, and remember the day he died. His loved ones need to know "WE HAVENT FORGOTTEN, WE WILL NEVER FORGET""

"To the family members of SPC Ruiz,

I know it's been a while now, and old wounds hurt when they're re-opened, but I'm doing this for my husband who would never do this on his own. They served together in Iraq and it's my understanding that they were best friends. My husband has worn a memorial bracelet for Jose on his wrist ever since he got back from Iraq. He just got back from a second tour to Iraq and none of his memories compare to the ones he has of Jose. Jose was such an important person to him, and I wanted you to know that he is greatly missed."
