"Rose, it was a blessing to have served with you. You are a friend and a comrade I will forever remember. I still have that silver cross pendant you gave me—after all these years. I love you, bro.
I remember once when we were hanging out in your room and you said you should be a Colgate commercial model, bro, that smile of yours was well-known among everyone in Alpha.
Rest In Peace, bro, and thank you for your service to our great country."

"To the family of Cpl. Rose,
Rose is never forgotten! He was a great person and soldier. He always, always, had a smile on his face that lifted our spirits! Everyone in Alpha Company, especially the mechanics, loved Rose like a brother. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't forget about Rose. Everyday when I wake up I draw upon my memory of Rose smiling and it makes me carry on. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Rose is NEVER forgotten!

"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. I am committed to working on my happiness everyday because so many have died for my freedom to live my life. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. All my love and respect. ogersteiner@yahoo.com

"To the family of Christopher, our hearts are so sad for your loss. We too know the pain of losing a son. (Pfc Jesse Mizener KIA Baghdad Iraq 1-7-04) My best advise is to find a place that's all your own to cry and scream and mourn. Let your friends help you, they want to do something to help but don't know what to do. You can reach me at rmizener@comcast.net or go to our website www.packedwithpride.com"
