"DOC ROB, this is your mexican pal EQ. we used to talk about meeting in houston for a few beers after this mess was over. dont worry i see you in heaven. The day i saw doc in the middle of an ambush treating pvt.bevard from a hit to his back plate was the day that i realized what a true brother is. you dont need to be related by color, dna or language. a brother is who even in the vally of the shadow of death fears no evil for his only pupose is to make sure you are ok to drive on. I miss you greatly man..."

"Re: SGT Michael Tremain Robertson

Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 2,800 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

"I was in language school when I received the news in 05. My grandmother (Estella Smith)called and said a family member just died. I didn't know I had any other family members in the military besides my uncle who was in the USAF.She sent me a newspaper clipping of your ultimate sacrifice. I cried as if I knew you all my life. I went and got a metal bracelet and that same newpaper has been in my car ever since. I am saddened that I have never had the honor of meeting you, but as long as I wear this Army uniform, I know that there is no way in hell that I will quit. I just found this website today (27 MAR 2009) and after reading all the priceless statements about you, I cannot fight the tears streaming down my face. You will never be forgotten and I love you dearly. If any one has information on how I could reach the rest of the family call me at 910-574-3025 or email me at harold.deshane.smith@us.army.mil
