"”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,000 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have some wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and only want you know that we care.
Contact us directly at Projectcompassion@manti.com or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,

"Dear Sir/Madam Torres,

I am an Honors student at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas.
As a class project, we are constructing a permanent memorial on our
campus to commemorate all of the fallen American servicemen and women in
Iraq and Afghanistan. This is not a political statement, but rather a
way for us to honor those who have lost their lives in this war. In
addition, each of us is researching the lives of three of the fallen, and
writing a brief eulogy to present in class. I would like to tell my
classmates about your loved one. If you would like to help me with this
project, I would appreciate any thoughts you could supply about Mr. Torres, particularly any poignant stories, anecdotes and what you
would like the world to know about him/her. This project allows us to
learn about the people behind the names on the memorial and so your help
would be greatly appreciated.

We will dedicate this memorial on Veteran's Day , November 11, with a
special ceremony. I would like to invite you to attend if you wish
and/or are in the area. In addition, I would be happy to send you a
picture and/or a rubbing of his name from our memorial.

If you have any questions or want to verify my status as a student,
please feel free to contact the instructor in charge of this project:
Laura Matysek Wood, Ph.D., Professor of History and Government, Social
Sciences Department Chair at 817-515-7280 or laura.wood@tccd.edu.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences on your loss. My
classmates and I hope to honor his sacrifice with our memorial and thank
you for your help.

"In Loving Memory..Its been a year..

At the rising of the sun and at its going down, We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring, We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer, We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn, We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
Rest in Peace Dear Soldier!!! We will NEVER FORGET!"
