"I never want to forget the sacrifices of so many young men and women. I am so proud it makes me cry. I understand in theory only that war is a part of human nature but so is love and caring. I wish I could take the families pain away but I can't. I am committed to loving ALL people, myself and our environment. "To the family of LCPL Taylor Prazynski,

I met you all in Fairfarx, VA while we waited to ride to the Pentagon for Rolling Thunder 2007. I took some pictures of your bike and regularly show them to friends and family. I tell them how you told me about Taylor and the guys he was with and walked me around the bike and explained what everything on the bike was about. I was recently at the bookstore and was flipping through "Where Valor Rests: Arlington National Cemetery" and saw a picture of a woman kneeling in front of Taylor's headstone and thought of you all. God Bless and Semper Fi!

"To the Prazynski Family,
My husband and your son went to bootcamp and training together. Your son made a huge impact on my husband's life. I talked to Taylor on the phone when my husband would call home and that is how i got to know him so well. We called your son SKI. We still do. We have pictures of your son all throughout our home and our first child will be named Taylor. He meant alot to both my husband and I, and he holds a very special place in our hearts. My husband, Nick, is currently in Iraq now and he knows that Taylor is watching over him. I just wanted your family to know how much your son meant to us and we think about him everyday. Your family is always in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! May God Bless You All!!!!

We miss you so terribly much, we talk about you frequently. Somedays it's stories that bring smiles to our faces or make us laugh out loud (you dancing at Bridget's wedding reception) and other days its stories that bring tears to our eyes. It is so hard to except that you are gone and yet if only the best our chosen then we know why it was you. You will live in our hearts forever, rest in peace until we meet again.

All my Love,

Melissa Feldhaus of Hamilton, OH

"i wrote this remembering taylor when he passed. i would like to say that i was so blessed to have taylor in my life. he was so special to me and my family. my son and taylor had such a special bond with each other that taylor became a part of our family and that is all it took for all of us to fall in love with that great smile and his big heart. taylor has so many great talents and i think the number one quality was his positive attitude towards everything he did. this is what made him so special to alot of people because taylor would put other people ahead of himself. he would do anything for anybody even if he didn't know you. for taylor to be so young and have that bond with so many people that is why he had a heart of gold. in my book he was a gift from god.
i will never forget the first time i met taylor. brandon and taylor had plans to go to the football game and he didn't get to our house in time so i took him to the game so he could be with brandon. from then on we had that special connection with each other and i am so thankful for that. when taylor gave me my nickname MAMA K it fit just perfect because it came from the heart of taylor and i was blessed with another son in my life. i would do anything in the world for my kids and he was a part of that. i was so proud of that.
i was so happy that my son brandon found such a great/best friend in his life with taylor. they were more than friends, they were like brothers. they could talk about everything and they were always together. taylor made our life full of happiness and fun everyday. it was never a bad day when taylor was around. that is what makes him so special. he always wanted everybody to be happy.
i know that taylor will be in my heart forever and i know that he will be my guardian angel now. i truly believe that taylor will be looking out for everybody who touched his heart.
when it is time for me to go to the special place of god, i truly believe that taylor will be the first one waiting for me and that will be such a honor to have him standing there saying come on mama k. that will be very special to be reunited with such a special person who touched my life.
taylor had alot of special people in his life and he will be deeply missed by so many people but he will never be forgotten. he has done so much in his life that it will go on forever. OUR HERO FOREVER! TAYLOR BRADLEY PRAZYNSKI

As Taylor knows he is forever in my thoughts, but I want you to know that you are as well. I have always and will always have a special place in my heart for Taylor. He won me over the first time I met him with that smile and soft spoken voice, what a boy he was then and what a man he became.

"I am terribly sorry for your loss, I have a brother who is in the Marines and he is also a Lance Cpl. When I found this, while doing a Veteran's Day search, I showed it to my mom, and she said that he lived close to my family, and that he knew my cousin Kyle Dickey from High School. I wish you the best, and I know he is watching over us, protecting us, even if we don't know it. He will live on in our hearts forever, and I will refuse to forget him."
Jay Dickey of West Chester, Ohio

"I , too , lost a nephew Marlin T. Rockhold in 2003 and wish to express my condolences. He may be gone but he will always be remembered . His sacrifice was the greatest gift he gave.Such an honorable young man . My heart goes out to you."
Karen Henderson-Butler of Hamilton, Ohio

Words will never be able to express the void that I have felt in my life and heart since you've been gone. I know we always had a crazy relationship/friendship but I have always loved you with all of my heart, and I just hope you knew that while you were here with us. There is not a single day that goes by that I do not think about you and miss you like crazy. Sometimes I cannot help but think about things that could have been, but even on those days all I can think about are all the happy memories and moments of our lives together. All you would have had to do is ask me, and I would have said yes. This song by Rascal Flatts makes me think about you every time I hear it (I can finally listen to it without crying every time).
"I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house,
that don't bother me.
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out.
I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while even though going on with you going still upsets me.
There are days every now and again I pretend I'm ok but that's not what gets me.
What hurts the most,
is being so close,
and having so much to say,
and watching you walk away.
And never knowing,
what could have been.
And not saying that loving you was what I was trying to do"

Claudia, John, and Carol:
Taylor meant more to me than anyone will ever understand. I regret never being able to really spend time with you all because you did a wonderful job of raising the most amazing person I have ever met.

I love and miss you buddy!"
Elizabeth 'Liz' Williams of Fairfield, Ohio

As you know from watching over us there is not a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts, my memories of you fill the hole that losing you has left in my heart. I am so glad that God gave me the chance to tell you over and over how proud I was of you because so many times we lose the opportunity to tell the people we love how much they mean to us. I always believed that you would be my son in law some day or as I told you many times if not I was going to have to adopt you so that you would become an official member of my family. We love you and miss you so terribly much. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and for being an amazing part of mine, but more than that thank you for your commitment to you beliefs.

Rest in peace until we meet again."
Melissa (mom) Feldhaus of Hamilton, OH

Becca Williams of Fairfield, OH

"I just read on the computer how even with the loss of your Son you still support the war effort. We too lost our Son SSG Brian Freeman on Nov. 7, 2005 a car bomb killed him and 3 other soldiers. We too support the war effort and know so well the hurt you and your wife are going through there is no hurt like it. We started a scholarship fund in Brian's name at his high school we don't want our Son's legacy to die and we know he gave his life for America's freedom. Brian's wife got to meet President Bush this week and we too have been doing several interviews we never wanted to be in the limelight but we don't want the war effort forgotten about either. Our Son was named alumi of the year at his high school last night at their Alumi Banquet. This is my first Mother's Day without him and what a hurt that is there he always made Mother's Day special. We go to Colorado the end of May for another Memorial Service in honor of Brian this is the second one we have got to go to it does help to meet some of the soldiers that served with him and the other parents who have lost loved ones. Your family will be in our prayers. Glen & Pat Freeman email glenfreeman2000@yahoo.com"

I went to visit you the other day...I think you knew I was there. They burried someone that day real close to you. But I listen to this song almost every day and it reminds me of you.

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
Wear the pain like a heavy coat
I feel you everywhere I go
See your smile, I see your face
I hear you laughing in the rain
Still can't believe your gone

It ain't fair you died to young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I've been through
Just knowing, no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today

Would you see the world
Would you chase your dreams
Settle down with a family
I wonder what would you name your babies
Someday's the sky's so blue
I feel like I can talk to you
And I know it might sound crazy

It ain't fair you died to young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I've been through
Just knowing, no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
The only thing that gives me hope
Is I know, I'll see you again someday

Someday, someday"

"To the Prazynski family,
I had the honor of meeting Taylor as we were leaving the MEPS station in Louisville, KY on our way to Parris Island in November of 2003. We were in the same Platoon (2014) and graduated on January the 30th. During our time at Parris Island I saw the love of life that Ski (that's what we called him)possesed. As the lay reader for our platoon Ski asked me to pray with him on several occasions and he always let me know within a few days that his prayers had been answered. His dedication and devotion to this country and to his fellow Marines will never be forgotten. Rest assured that God has called him home, and that when we meet him again he will be standing guard somewhere in heaven smiling that timeless smile. GodSpeed and Semper Fi!"
Corporal Brent T. Willoughby USMC of Afghanistan

I love you and I Thank god every day for having the pleasure of being one of your buddies. Im looking forward to the day we see eachother again.

"Taylor. I have never met you. I wish I would have had that honor in this life but know I will finally be able to meet you in the next. I am the father of a Marine. We are from a long family of soldiers. Your loss is felt deeply in our home. We have a picture of you from one of the memorial rides put on in your name here in Fairfield hanging in our home. You were and are a friend of my son and I feel after meeting your wonderful parents that I will become a friend of theirs in the years to come. You are missed young man. Not just by family and close friends but by all freedom loving Americans. The sarcifice of ones life is the ultimate statement of how you truely felt in your life as a Marine and what cost you were willing give in the fight for freedom. It is with the deepest respect I honor your name and the legacy your family has started in your name to help all the wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting the cause of Impact a Hero. You will not be forgotten by us. We will always carry your sacrifice in our hearts and minds. You truely are an American Hero. May God bless you and your wonderful family. Your friend in Freedom."

"To the friends and family of Taylor B. Prazynski:
My heart aches for each and every one of you. I lost my brother-in-law, Stephen P. Baldwyn on May 9, 2005. I know what you are going through and no words can make it better. Your son is a HERO to me and my loved ones and As sure as we remember Stephen, we will remember Taylor. We have to know God is on our side and he will get us through this. We, as Americans take so much for granted and we don't realize how much our troops do for us until it hits home. That is very sad, too. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you all!!!

"Although I did not know Taylor personally, I feel a deep connection to him. He has done more for me than any other stranger ever has. I too, am from the family that visited New York the weekend Taylor died. With his death and the images of ground zero at the fore front of my thoughts and prayers I wish we had more heros like Taylor. If we could all be as selfless and courageous as he was the world would be a better place. Thank you to his family for giving us your son. He is forever in our Hearts. God Bless Taylor and his family!!"

"Taylor, the very last thing you said to me the night before you left for Iraq was "I love you like a brother". You always told me this, ever since 7th and 8th grade when we took trips to Kings Island together and road roller coasters for the first time together, but i never knew how lucky i was to have such a good friend, such a good brother. i know you died doing what you wanted to do, you always wanted to help people and made it a priority that everyone around you was happy before you thought of yourself, and that is what you were doing. I couldn't have asked for more from a friend, a brother, a HERO. we all miss you so much Taylor and may you rest in peace and help all of us get through this tough time. We love you Taylor."
Nick Salcedo of Fairfield, Oh

"Taylor I will never forget you. You told me you loved me like a brother and will never let that go. I've tried not to grieve so much, because I know thats not what you would want, but it is so hard to lose a brother. You are the greatest friend/brother/soldier I have ever known. God Bless You Taylor"
Matt Doxsey of Fairfield, OH

"taylor, i didnt get the chance to meet you, and i cant believe your time is now. something i will never understand is why the people who care and make a difference, like you, have to go at such a young age. i am so very proud of you and all the accomplishments you have made in your life, at only the age of 20. if i had only gotten the chance to meet you before you had left. but i still have a chance i guess..as soon as i walk in those golden gates, im asking to come see you. thank you for being such a wonderful person and doing so much for Fairfielf High School. (P.S. i never got the chance to met you but i went to your funeral and visitation, you have changed my life, i want to be remembered the way you are and i want to make a difference in any way i can. im going to try and earn the respect you have earned, and you have made me want to be a better person..) thank you taylor prazynski for making a difference.."
Stephanie Runner of Fairfield Ohio

"Taylor was trully an amazing young man, he has touched so many in the few years he was on this earth. My family has been touched by him, he was a schoolmate to Brittany(class of 2005), she said she met him working with the MRDD at school, he was an great worker with my mother, Cheryl, who is also friends with his mom. You are trully a hero in our eyes. Claudia and family our prayers are with you."
Tammie Rooks of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

"Prazynski family & friends:
I never knew Taylor personally but I can only imagine the difficult time this is for those who knew such a incredible man! I was in NYC visiting Ground Zero and St. Vincent's Hospital Memorial w/my family on the day Taylor was recieved into God's loving arms. The hurt, anger, and mix of emotions I felt while reading profiles of those missing from the attacks on 9/11 that are still hanging today is indescribable. But there is one emotion that stood out. Proud. I am so proud to be an American. It's because of HERO's Like Taylor that allow America to be America. Taylor will always be remembered by name and we will never forget the sacrifice he made so that we may raise our flag high.
God bless AMERICA, and God bless the TROOPS... EACH AND EVERY WOMAN & MAN who has ever fought and who are still fighting for our freedom.
Thank you Taylor! God bless!"
Carey of Cincinnati

"Taylor, you will always be remembered and missed"

"Taylor I will never forget the first day I met you, it was a friday in June of 2002, and it was pouring rain outside, we went back to your mom's house, and all you were worried about doing was getting Nick and I together, well you managed, and three years later, we are still together. Nick is and will always be your best friend, and mine, and always in our hearts, we love you and will miss you more than you may ever know. You are the glue, that has kept all of us together, and whenever we needed you, you were there, being the best friend you could be. This past week has been extremely hard on all of us, and your family has so much love around them helping them get through this, but what they keep saying is that want everyone to be at peace, that this could make or break us. Taylor look over Nick and make sure he gets through this. We are watching out for your brother ryan and have been with him a lot this past week. Every day is a new jourey Taylor, but everyday for the rest of our lives we will wake up thinking of you, and go to bed thinking of you, I cannot stress this enough but all of love you and miss you so much!"

"Taylor had such an impact on all of us at Fairfield High School. Our graduating class will never be the same with out him. He will be missed. He loved everyone and was always willing to help. I had the pleasure of going on the fishing trip with him our senior year of high school and being down near the gym with Mr. Staggs when Josh was walking. He was an amazing friend and an amazing person. My condolences to the family during this time and forever. He touched so many lives."
