"Marcques, we worked side by side in Internal Medicine/General Surgery at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor for over a year. I think about the silly videos we used to watch in the check in room through internet proxies. I was in the OR for your surgery on your broken hand after the soft ball game. Your wife is beautiful, sweet, and always fun. Thanks for your service, you made that job worth showing up for. Plus all the silly arguments you and Troy got in. The hell you gave him was much deserved. Good luck, Brother."

"It's so nice to see the nice things you all left in support of our good friend Marcques. He was the one who could make you laugh. Lift you up when you were down. Let you know that your dreams are not too far to reach.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, and friend. And here in Portland, we feel so very blessed to have had him enrich our lives.

Marcques, we thank you from our hearts for protecting us. And we thank you now, for watching over all of us each night. You are missed here on earth, but only a prayer away, we know! See you soon my friend! Much love to you!"
