"I knew Rob from many years of playing baseball together in NH. We rode the bench a lot, and I got to know him very well. He was one of the more charismatic people I have ever known, and I'll never forget the ultimate sacrifice he made to keep our freedom and to make the world a better place."

"Rob you were the best of friend anybody could ask for. Your smile lit up the room, your laugh was contagious. It's been a year and a half, but I still think about you every day. I know you're with me everywhere I go. I came by to see you last night, and I felt you there in the snow flakes as it began to snow.

Thank you for everything you've ever done for me. Thank you for everything you've done for our friends. Thank you for serving our country. I'll always be so proud of you. I miss you and I love you Rob. You're my hero."

"I knew Robert only a few months. I met him in the Las Flores Church of the Nazarene, where his grandmother, Doris Dawson-Smith attends. In that short time he made it so easy to love him. He was a fine gentleman, and he was a Marine, a pround Marine. Having had a Marine son who served in "Nam", I have a special place in my heart for any Marine. I am glad to call Robert my friend. May God Bless Robert's influence on his fellow Marines. Robert loved his family, friends, church, Marines, his Nation, but most of all he loved God."

"If he can stand in battle to ensure our freedom,
We can stand in grief with his family to honor him……

In Remembrance of LCpl. Robert Moscillo,

To the Moscillo Family, our sincerest and heartfelt condolences are extended to you for the loss you have endured. We pray that in time grief will turn to pride and the pain of loss will be replaced with peace in knowing your loved one is in the hands of the Lord.

For every fallen hero, there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us that freedom is a cherished gift and it is not without sacrifice.

May you take comfort in knowing that many families across this great nation grieve with you in your time of sadness.

Our prayers are with you for peace and healing.

Sincerely,"

"Lance Corporal Robert L. Moscillo was my grandson. Today we had a Memorial Service to honor him in my church, Las Flores Church of the Nazarene in Carlsbad, CA. where he attended church with me since he got stationed at Camp Pendleton. Last Friday, we had his funeral in Methuen, MA where over 500 people were in attendance to honor him. Robert, "Bobby" to me not only was a good marine, but he was a fine Christian young man, always inviting his buddies to come to church with us. He wanted to be stationed at Camp Pendleton so he could be close to me, his "grammy." I am so proud of him and what he sacrificed for his country. He was my grandson; he was a role model for his brothers, David and Joey; he was a hero to his older sister, Sandra; he was his mother's pride and joy; he was a proud marine and most important of all, he was a believer in Jesus Christ."
Doris Dawson-Smith of Oceanside, CA/ USA
