"In this day 7 years ago my life changed for the worse, but as time goes by I know that although it was the worst, it is a blessing to have such a great man watch over me at all time and to keep me save....and to watch over his kids and keep them safe and guide them down the road to greatness...
Today after the memoral service they had in Fernley, It was so ironic that I heard our song... AMAZED... Lonestar and I knew at that moment that you were thinking of me just as I was thinking of you.. and everytime I hear that song I know at that moment you are saying you love and miss us dearly... I love you Eric Morris and I always will.... You are my soul always will be... Till we meet again my love ......I love you"

"In response to the Eric Morris add campaign in Nevada and his wife's search for meaning and answers and the fact that not one Nevada politician sent a representative or attended his funeral. Gibbons did nothing for me either.
My father was killed in Vietnam. He is the only US Olympic Medal winner ever Killed in a war. The Army was my father's career. He served his country well. Ironically, in 1965 and 1966 at the request of the US State Dept., my father served as a coach training the Iraqi Olympic Boxing team. After years of frustrating research about my own father's death in Vietnam, I contacted Gibbons for help. I explained that my father's life had just been featured in an 8 page ESPN article and my frustration after nearly 4 decades of my family trying to resolve inuendos and rumors involving my father's death in Vietnam. This was four months ago and the only response I have ever received was one asking me to visit Gibbon's WEB Site. I know that Gibbons is probably very busy in his re-election campaign, but bravo for the wife of Eric Morris for doing what she is doing. When a young father of children loses his life for his country it is appropriate for Cogressional leaders to acknowledge in the form of correspondence the family's grief. Shame on you Gibbons. The Army will set up an entire staff to correspond and research for the family of Pat Tillman but familys like mine and the Morriss family they could care less about. Mrs. Morriss should continue on her search to find answers because only the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Rcarmod@yahoo.com"

"I want to say that you have been heavy on my heart lately Eric and I miss you dearly. I think about you and your family all the time. It was raining the other night and it reminded me of the '97 flood and the party that I had at my place on the river...and how you got called to duty, you went with out so much as 1 complaint....I was also thinking about the time I accidently ran over your foot right after I got my drivers license...LOL. I am still SO freaking sorry! You grew up to be such a wonderful husband and father. I am so proud to have known you. I saw the ad you did Jo. It was amazing. I was getting ready for work and watching the news and I saw the picture montage of Eric on the screen, you spoke beautifully. I cried. I just want you guys to know that I think about you guys all the time and that I know Eric will always be watching over you. Love always, Jen"

"Eric your time with us was short, but you had a great impact on the platoon. I remember the day you showed up in Tal Afar, and how I was happy that we had gotten an Iraq vet instead of another new guy who didnt know what was going on. Your Soldiers took to you quickly, you fit right in with everyone. What amazed me was that you were pushing to get out in the fight right away even though you had just spent 18 months over there, that was the type of person you were, you never thought of yourself, always everyone else. You always made the best of every situation. The 28th of April will always stand out in my mind. Not a day goes by that I dont think of you and what happened. You gave everything for me and the rest of the platoon. I remember talking to you that morning, and I would give anything to have known that it would be the last time we would speak to each other. You will always be my Brother, and you will never be forgotten. Someday, we will see each other again, in that special place God has for Soldiers. I miss you Bro.
To the family and friends of Eric: Eric was a Hero, a Leader, Friend and too many other great things for me to list here. I am truly blessed for having the opportunity to serve with him in combat. My words cannot express the sorrow in my heart, and how deeply sorry I am for your loss."

"Hey man, just found out last night and am still in shock. When you were my soldier in Iraq, you were one that I counted on to ensure that that tasks I handed down were accomplished to the best of our guys abilities. If you said it was done, or couldnt be done, I believed your word. I remember seeing your chessy goofy smile as you came back from Kuwait the first time you tried to leave after we got extended. You had a big smile on your dirty, scruffy face after the two or three day ride through the desert to get back to us. I was glad to see you, but felt bad you guys got sent back to us when you were so close to flying home. I just want to say thanks for everything you did for both me and your country. You will be missed but never forgotten. I just wish I could have convinced you to go to the SSG board like you deserved but didnt desire. You were just happy doing your job. I know how much your family and especially your twins meant to you; to them I can only say how sorry I am for your loss, your dad/husband was a good man with a good heart, he was always making us laugh and was somebody we could count on to have our backs."
SSG Dagostino of Ft. Knox, KY
