"I knew Chris before he joined the Army. He was actually my boss at KB Toys in Winrock mall. I remember when he told me that he had joined the Army and how proud I was for him. He was a great friend that I turned to a lot when I needed advice. I remember going to his apartment after work and having a beer and talking about all the things we wanted to do once we had better jobs. He is a true hero who paid the ultimate price for his country. I miss you brother."

"My son, Chris Paye, worked with your son in the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Art., 2nd Inf Div, Camp Hovey and in Ramadi. I guess they both were working on tanks and humvees. He called us soon after your son's death, he was very upset about it.

There are no words to say that can come close to the sorrow you must be feeling for your loss. We will keep you in our prayers."
Sandra Paye of Angier, NC
