"Re: PFC David Jeffrey Martin

Hello,
I represent PRAYER SHAWLS 4 FALLEN SOLDIERS (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 2,700 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 240 groups from all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when post cards are returned after they have moved. Would you kindly send me a contact email/address so that we may send a loving hand-made prayer shawl to the family? Thank you!

"At a time like this, I can think of no better way to express my feelings of gratitude for David's life (and to send my heartbroken condolences to his family) than by sharing a short poem written by Tom Balstad of West Warwick, RI. It goes like this:

To those who have died,
and to those who have cried.
We Salute You!

To those who lost,
paid the ultimate cost.
We Salute You!

And to those who still serve,
the Red, White, and Blue.
Our Grateful Nation
Proudly Salutes You!

Rest peacefully, David.
You've earned that hero's reward."
