"I JUST FINISHED READING THE BOOK "FINAL SALUTE" AND WANTED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THE FAMILIES OF THESE FALLEN HEROES, EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT EVER WANT TO BE CALLED THAT. I AM IN THE NAVY AND THANK GOD EVERYDAY FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THIS COUNTRY THAT ARE BRAVE ENOUGH THAT THEY WOULD LAY THEIR OWN LIVES DOWN FOR THE FREEDOM FOR FAMILIES TO DO WHAT THEY DO BACK HERE IN AMERICA. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT cathryn_r_plato@hotmail.com"

"I hope this message reaches the mother, father and close relatives of Brett Lundstrom who died over three years ago now while serving as a U.S. Marine in Iraq. I feel a deep and abiding debt to this young man and his family. For me, he was the VERY BEST of America's youth. I honor him, his service and his sacrifice with every fiber of my being. He and the people of his blood lie at the heart of all that has made our land so strong and so filled with quiet virtue.

To those you left behind, Mr Lundstrom, may God Bless you! Semper Fidelis!
