Lopez-Feliciano died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position during a dismounted patrol. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on December 22, 2005.
