"Rick was a great friend. I never met a fellow soldier that was as dedicated as Rick. Rick knew how to cut up and have fun but was also a professional soldier. If I could live my life as half the man Rick was I would consider it a great success. I will always remember you and miss you. The times we had together were some of the best in my life and knowing you has made me a better man."
