"Wow. Ten years and some change and I just found this page. Henson you were a fellow soldier a friend a comrade through hell... But most importantly you were a brother. I named my son Clayton just to keep your memory alive. I miss ya bro. after you things just weren't the same. To the family of a brave soul I still mourn you loss I pray for your healing but most importantly I thank you for giving alot of us the opportunity to know Clayton. R.I.P. Brother,
never forgotten."
Michael Beasley of Richland Missouri

"To Georgia, Eldon, and Roselyn. I love you. Know that Clayton's sacrifice was not in vain. I know that it has been 10 years since his passing. We accomplished so much over there. Saddam was an extremely dangerous person, and a democracy in Iraq was crucial. Clayton and all of us tried to ensure that a democracy in Iraq was set up and achieved. Know that the Iraqi people in Southern Iraq appreciated all of us Americans so much for what we were doing for them."

"Your life inspired me to serve once again. And why you died was why I did what I did in Iraq. I only hope that I prevented other deaths from happening such as yours. Thank you so much for your service. Yes, indeed the world is a much safer place b/c of what you did despite what the Liberals say."

"To those that remember and honor him.
I was there that dark day and into the darker night. I remember one thing also. I made him laugh for a little while before things got bad. The rest of the events after that are forever seared in my mind. I will always remember you."
Justin Masenthin of jm1982hellbound@gmail.com

"All these years later I still find myself thinking about Henson. I admit, I barely knew him and remember even less. He rode in my humvee on multiple missions and I do remember his humor, his quiet strength, and his willingness to do anything for his friends. I wish I could offer better sentiments, but all I can say is that he is not forgotten and I am eternally grateful to have known him."

"To the family of Clayton Henson,
On 25 November 2008 at 11:00 AM the 2d Stryker Cavalry Regiment and the 2d Cavalry Association will gather in Vilseck, Germany, to commemorate a monument to our fallen brothers from Operation Iraqi Freedom. PFC Clayton Henson will be honored on that day. His name will be engraved on the face of a permanent black marble monument along with his fallen comrades. The monument will be located in a park of 50 trees which will form a living memorial to these fine young Soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation.
On that date and at that ceremony we will also honor the families of these Soldiers. We truly hope that the families can participate in the ceremony. It is the wish of the 2d Cavalry Association and the 2d Stryker Cavalry Regiment to place a personalized flag case and flag for each of these fallen heroes in the hands of a family member.
We are requesting that these families contact us via email at deddygetty1@comcast.net to learn more about the ceremony and how they can participate.

"For Clayton family
I just found this website and I am so glad I did. Ever since I received a notice of casualty in my email about your boy I wanted to say to you how sorry I really am for your loss. And sorry is not enough. Please excuse me if I can't express my thoughts very well, it must be a combination of english as a second language and not seeing the keyboard well because of tears. My heart goes out to you and I know that no matter what I say it won't make your hurt go away. My son was in the same squad with Clayton so I know what happened. We're not supposed to feel this kind of pain. I won't say I know how you feel because I don't. But believe me, my heart aches for your baby boy and for you . I am so, so, sorry for what you have to endur. Sincerely, Adriana Juhasz"
