"To the family of Adam Harris.
My name is jose martinez. I was on the same team as adam. It was us two plus our teamed leader Sgt Sylvester for most of the year. I was really sad but happy for him when he was selected to go to the scouts. He talked about his girlfriend alot and how he was going to marry her when he got back. We were really close. I lost a large part of myself that day. I am sorry for your loss. I am sorry I have not contacted you before. And I am not sure of you really want to speak to me after all this time. I wear my bracelet for him every day of my life. I closed myself off from anyone but my wife for a long time. And bless her heart for loving me enough to stay with me. I loved this man like my own brothers. I hope you will forgive me for not having shared this before. Like I mentioned before I closed myself off for a very long time. If you wish to contact me you can do so at Jmartinez20092@gmail.com. thank you."

"Dear Adam,
Not a day goes by I don't think of you. I miss your laugh and the way you used to make me laugh on patrols man. I really miss you brother. Things have never been the same for me since that day. I never got to tell you this in person but you are my brother. This my sound heartless to some people but I wanted it to be someone else with all my being. I kept praying and praying that it wasn't you. But somehow i knew when the call came in. I wasn't there to protect you and keep you safe as a brother is supposed to do. I am sorry. I remember we were supposed to go get a pizza together the next day. I hope you have that pizza ready for when I go join you bro. I love you man. I miss you but I know you are in a better place.

I love you and will never forget you my brother."

"My son is also Adam Harris, and I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through. Please try and find solace from the following verse by: Laurence Binyon 1914:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
