"I can't believe it has been almost two years since the we served in Iraq. I served in the maintenance section for Delta Co., 101 Cav. 256 BCT. We were a small bunch of New Yorkers working along side our peers from Louisiana. When we heard of David's death, we were all devestated. I never met David personally, but knew members of his crew, that were there at the time of his death. I cried at his service, held at Camp Victory. He was the unit's first and only fatality. He is gone, but will never be forgotten."
MICHAEL CARL TANNER, SPC, DELTA CO. 101 CAV. 256 BCT of POB 389 ROCKY POINT, NY 11778
