"Adam....I love you Brother. For the one's that don't know me, I was Adam's Cpl at Cherry Point for about two years. At first he was a quiet person, just taking in who everybody was, and figuring out who he wanted to associate with. After I got to know him, he was just about the nicest guy I have ever met. We met weekley and (I know it sounds dumb) played NCAA Football on playstation. We would hang out in groups of five or six and have games all day on our day's off. Never did I beat him. I spoke at his funeral in Alabama, and I didn't really have anything planned. I just got up and started talking. It was a very hard thing to do. I really just wanted to talk to him again. The one thing for those who could not make it to the funeral. As I was walking away, I looked back and noticed his two brother's holding shovels.....they wanted to bary there own. They didn't want a machine covering there brother. After a while, it was a little ruff on the brother's, and the entire group chipped in and finished the job, including me. I thought it was a very honorable thing to do, and I respect the family for that. I love you Adam like a brother, and I know one day, when the time comes, I will walk and talk with you again.
Thank You and Semper Fi"

"My heart goes out to the Fales family, and all of his friends. This was such an uncommon tragedy, that affected a lot of people. I'm friends with one of the young men that was involved in the terrible accident. I know that not a day goes by that he doesn't think of what happened, and there is nothing he can do to take it back. He would give his own life to take back what happened. I hate that something like this had to happen, and I wish that things could have been different. I heard many good things about Adam, and I hope that his family has found some peace even through this tragedy."
