It has been 3 years today that we lost Jason. It hurts as much today as it did 3 years ago.We are very proud of the man he became. I pray that he knew how much he was loved. In honor of Jason we need to make sure we tell our loved ones how much they are truly loved before it is too late.Without Jason there is a part missing from our family but we know we shall be together again some day.We love you Jason and wish you were here."

"Hi - my name is Cheryl Endicott and my son's name was Jason Scott Daniel and he was a Lance Corporal for the US Marines stationed at Parris Island, SC and he was my only child too. He just returned from Iraq from the frontlines. He did a lot (he was a machine gunner) and seen a lot of bad things. He was home for Christmas last year and drank too much at a bar and never woke up - he was at another Marines home. My life has been destroyed - I hang onto life by a very tiny string. My husband had passed away not even 2 year before Jason had with a massive heart attack (he had just turned 42 the week before in perfect health or we thought) the day after Jason left for Marine bootcamp. The other Marine nor his family have spoken to me - I had left my business card at their home 4 months ago for them to contact me but they never. I basically ran his father down last week in town and asked him why he never contacted me and he couldn't say - but with Christmas coming on (without my baby) and being so emotional I couldn't talk to him then. So I hope your situation has been better than mine and I'm so sorry for your loss because I do know the pain and I hope we can talk. May GOD continue to be with you Cheryl"
Cheryl Endicott of Paintsville, KY

I never thought I would miss you as much as I do. I think I took it harder than anyone I know. I trully miss you and I am sorry that we never became the brothers that we should of been. You left your mark in my life. I pray that one day I will see you again."

"After a wonderful Memorial Day service at my church, First Baptist of Orlando, our family picked up one of the thousands of flags planted on an empty field beside our church. The name on my flag was Jason B. Daniel's. I am writing you to let you know that I have been praying for his family, and at this time of Thanksgiving, wanted to especially tell you how thankful I am for him and his service to our country. I have so many freedoms that I enjoy everyday, and I know it's because of men like Jason.
I am so sorry for his death, and will continue to pray for his family.
Ironically, when I was married, my husband and I lived in Fort Worth and attended the Baptist Theological Seminary there. Who knows, we may have known each other.
Again, my condolences and wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving, however sad it may be. Mine, alone, is also a bit unhappy, but we have so much to be thankful for even tho.
The most wonderful song I've heard recently goes like this:
Some days we forget to look around us
Some days we can't see the joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves,
We take when we should give
So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.
THANKFUL sung by Josh Groban.
It sure puts alot of meaning back into Thanksgiving and what we should be thankful for.

"Today I stood on 5th Avenue in Manhatten along side of hundreds of others who each held a placard with the name of a different fallen serviceman or woman. We lined 5th Ave. from 8th street up into the 90's. I'm sure it was quite a sight. I held a poster with Jason Daniel's name on it. We were all there for a demonstration to "Name the Dead".I did not know Jason Daniel, but I feel so very moved to be able to help honor him and his family in representing what he and all the servicemen and women and their families are sacrificing. My heart goes out to every one of you. Truly. Thank you. May there be peace for us all."
