"My fondest memory of Tim Jr. was on New Years Eve when he was a youngster playing with my son Donnie. He and Donnie were tying to stay up and sneak around the house, while my wife Gidget and I welcomed the New Year with Tim Sr. and his wife.
My most sincere condolences to both of you. I couldn't imagine the pain and loss you must feel.
My prayers are with you."

"Hey Timmy, it's been a long time, no see. Abbie's talked tabout you a lot lately.. she moved in with Russ in Missouri now. Just the other day she was telling me about a guy she met down there, can't remember his name.. and she said he is exactly like you. Same looks, personality, everything. God, I wish I could see you one last time. But mostly I wish your family could see you one last time. I remember that one time you came to our school on Veteran's day and Abbie was so proud to say that you were her brother. And when Jaimie and Andrew were still together she would always tell him that if he wanted to marry her, he'd have to travel all the way to Arlington just to ask you. I never thought there'd be so much I remember about you. Abbie and I have become so close and I learn more about you everytime I see her, even from what I knew before. I bet you were proud to see Jaimie graduate.. and you should see how big Joey is getting now. We all miss you down here hun, I hope everything is going well upstairs. We all love you, our hero.

-Chels."

"Your daughter, Abbie, was in my 8th grade music class at Mt. Carmel School last year. She was so excited when she knew her brother could come to our Veteran's Day Program on Nov. 11. Tim came in full dress uniform. I remember Abbie bringing him to my music room after the program. She was so very proud of him. We will be honoring Tim during our Veteran's Program this year. We'll be projecting his picture as the choirs sing "Put Your Hand Over Your Heart". Tim will not be forgotten. May you have shalom in your hearts and minds."

""To the family of Timothy Bell Jr.

My prayers go out to your family, friends, and Timothy. I cannot imagine how hard it is to loose someone so special in your life. Unfortunately, I knew Timothy from Lakota East High School and Timothy was also in one of my classes. I did not know him that well, but it still hit home. When I heard of the news, I could not believe that someone so young and so courageous had his life taken away so fast. My brother, Pavlo, is a Marine. I know how hard it is when a family member is sent to Iraq and everyday is a struggle. He is my only brother and I don't know what I would do if he was gone. He is now a Captain in the Marines and we still worry that he could have a chance to go back. I am so sorry for your loss. Every man and woman who is in the military is a hero to me. Timothy is one of the many who has protected our country and put their lives on the line. He will always be remembered."
Marusa of West Chester, Ohio

"Dear Family of Timothy Bell: I lost my son, LCpl Chad Maynard, on June 15, 2005 in Ramadi. When I heard the news on the radio about your son, it was like I was reliving that day all over again. It's hard for me to type this even now. I'm so sorry for your loss. On the temporary head stone on my son's grave is the saying, "Not In Vain". That is truly what my son believed and what we, as his family, have to believe every day. Please know that I feel your pain and loss, and I cry with you. They say time eases the pain, and I guess they may be right, but with every new report, I feel the ache of missing my son so much. Always remember, you are not alone. There are others who love you and care about you and know exactly what you are going through. Thank you for your son and his service to us all."
Cindy Maynard, mother of Lcpl Chad Maynard and Corporal Jacob Maynard of Kennewick, WA
