Bernstein was killed in action in Taza, Iraq, when enemy forces ambushed his patrol using rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire. He was assigned to 1st Battalion (Airborne), 508th Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade. Died on October 18, 2003.
Pfc. Jacob S. Fletcher, 28, of Bay Shore, New York.
Fletcher was riding on a bus when an improvised explosive device exploded in Samara, Iraq. He was assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Died on November 13, 2003.
Pfc. John D. Hart, 20, of Bedford, Massachusetts.
Hart was killed in action in Taza, Iraq, when enemy forces ambushed his patrol using rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire. He was assigned to 1st Battalion (Airborne), 508th Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade. Died on October 18, 2003.
Spc. Justin W. Hebert, 20, of Arlington, Washington.
Hebert was on patrol when his vehicle was struck by a rocket propelled grenade in Kirkuk, Iraq. Hebert was assigned to the 319th Field Artillery, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Died on August 1, 2003.
Sgt. Joseph Minucci II, 23, of Richeyville, Pennsylvania.
Minucci was riding on a bus when an improvised explosive device exploded in Samara, Iraq. He was assigned to C Company, 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Died on November 13, 2003.
Sgt. Sean C. Reynolds, 25, of East Lansing, Michigan.
Reynolds was climbing a ladder in Iraq when he fell causing his M4 rifle to accidentally discharge. Reynolds was assigned to the 74th Long-Range Surveillance Detachment 173rd Airborne Brigade. Died on May 3, 2003.
Spc. Kyle G. Thomas, 23, of Topeka, Kansas.
Thomas was on patrol in Kirkuk, Iraq when an improvised explosive device exploded. He died of injuries sustained in the explosion. Thomas was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Died on September 25, 2003.

Pfc. Mark A. Barbret, 22, of Shelby Township, Michigan.
Barbret died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy. He was assigned to 44th Engineer Battalion. Died on October 14, 2004.
Pfc. Stephen C. Benish, 20, of Clark, New Jersey.
Benish died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when he received enemy fire while on a dismounted patrol. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on November 28, 2004.
Sgt. Andrew L. Bossert, 24, of Fountain City, Wisconsin.
Bossert died in Ramadi, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his screening area. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on March 7, 2005.
Spc. Sergio R. Diazvarela, 21, of Lomita, California.
Diazvarela died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Died on November 24, 2004.
Pfc. Michael W. Franklin, 22, of Coudersport, Pennsylvania.
Franklin died in Ramadi, Iraq, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his screening area. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on March 7, 2005.

Oklahoma died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was conducting a dismounted patrol and encountered enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on November 28, 2004.

Unruh died in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, when enemy forces using small arms fire attacked his unit. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion. Died on September 25, 2004.

Washington died in Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, of injuries sustained October 14, 2004 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his military vehicle was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on January 4, 2005.

Williams died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit was conducting a dismounted patrol and was attacked by small arms fire. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. Died on December 8, 2004.

Staff Sgt. George T. Alexander, Jr., 34, of Clanton, Alabama.
Alexander died at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, of injuries sustained in Samarra, Iraq, on October 17, 2005 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 22, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Jason A. Benford, 30, of Toledo, Ohio.
Benford died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his patrol was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on September 27, 2005.
Sgt. Matthew C. Bohling, 22, of Eagle River, Alaska.
Bohling died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on September 5, 2005.

Byrd died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 15, 2005.
Capt. Joel E. Cahill, 34, of Norwood, Massachusetts.
Cahill died in Ad Dawr, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV. He was assigned to the Army's 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on November 6, 2005.
Spc. Justin B. Carter, 21, of Mansfield, Missouri.
Carter died in Forward Operating Base McKenzie, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3d Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized). Died on February 16, 2005.
Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn C. Cashe, 35, of Oviedo, Florida.
Cashe died at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX from wounds suffered October 17, 2005 in Samarra, Iraq. He was on patrol in a Bradley Fighting Vehicle when an improvised explosive devise detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to 1st Battallion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on November 8, 2005.
Spc. Andrew F. Chris, 25, of Huntsville, Alabama.
Chris was fatally wounded in Iraq in combat operations in hostile enemy territory. Chris was assigned to Company B, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on June 25, 2003.
1st Lt. Michael J. Cleary, 24, of Dallas, Pennsylvania.
Cleary died in Taji, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on December 20, 2005.
Sgt. Timothy M. Conneway, 22, of Enterprise, Alabama.
Conneway was traveling in a government vehicle when an explosive device detonated and struck the vehicle on June 26 in Baghdad, Iraq. Conneway was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on June 28, 2003.
Spc. Jeffrey W. Corban, 30, of Elkhart, Indiana.
Corban died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 15, 2005.
1st Lt. Carlos J. Diaz, 27, of Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico.
Diaz died in Baqubah, Iraq, when enemy forces detonated an explosion near his position. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on August 23, 2005.

Fasnacht died in Tikrit, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on June 8, 2005.
Spc. Dennis J. Ferderer, Jr., 20, of New Salem, North Dakota.
Ferderer died in Ad Duluiyah, Iraq when enemy forces threw a hand grenade at his HMMWV during convoy operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on November 2, 2005.
1st Sgt. Joe J. Garza, 43, of Robstown, Texas.
Garza was riding in a HMMWV that swerved to avoid a civilian vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq. Graza fell out and was struck by a civilian vehicle. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment. Died on April 28, 2003.
Spc. Steven R. Givens, 26, of Mobile, Alabama.
Givens died in Balad, Iraq, from injuries sustained from enemy small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3d Brigade, 3d Infantry Division. Died on May 8, 2005.
Spc. Richard A. Hardy, 24, of Newcomerstown, Ohio.
Hardy died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 15, 2005.
1st Lt. Noah Harris, 23, of Ellijay, Georgia.
Harris died in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained on June 17, 2005 in Buritz, Iraq, when he was conducting a mounted patrol and his HMMWV was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on June 18, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Terry W. Hemingway, 39, of Willingboro, New Jersey.
Killed in action in Iraq. Hemingway's Bradley Fighting Vehicle was traveling down a street when a car exploded next to it. Hemingway was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment. Died on April 10, 2003.
Spc. Darren D. Howe, 21, of Beatrice, Nebraska.
Howe died at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, of injuries sustained in Samarra, Iraq, on October 17, 2005 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on November 3, 2005.
Pfc. Gregory P. Huxley, Jr., 19, of Forestport, New York.
Killed by enemy fire in Iraq. He was assigned to B Company, 317th Engineer Battalion. Died on April 6, 2003.
Sgt. Leon M. Johnson, 28, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Johnson died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 10, 2005.
Sgt. Anthony G. Jones, 25, of Greenville, South Carolina.
Jones died in Baghdad, Iraq, where an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 104th Transportation Company, 36th Engineer Group, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized). Died on June 14, 2005.
Sgt. Leroy Segura Jr., 23, of Clovis, New Mexico.
Segura died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a HMMWV accident. Segura was assigned to the 362nd Engineer Company, 54th Engineer Battalion. Died on August 4, 2006.
Pfc. Dillon M. Jutras, 20, of Fairfax Station, Virginia.
Jutras died in Al Anbar Province, Iraq from injuries sustained while conducting combat operations. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on October 28, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Nino D. Livaudais, 23, of Utah.
Died as a result of severe injuries in Iraq. He was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on April 3, 2003.
Spc. Ryan P. Long, 21, of Seaford, Delaware.
Died as a result of severe injuries in Iraq. He was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on April 3, 2003.
Cpl. William A. Long, 26, of Lilburn, Georgia.
Long died in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained on June 17, 2005 in Buritz, Iraq, when he was conducting a mounted patrol and his HMMWV was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on June 18, 2005.
Spc. Richard Junior D. Naputi, 24, of Talofofo, Guam.
Naputi died in Taji, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on December 20, 2005.
Spc. Jacob C. Palmatier, 29, of Springfield, Illinois.
Palmatier died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3d Brigade, 3d Infantry Division. Died on February 24, 2005.
Pvt. Dylan R. Paytas, 20, of Freedom, Pennsylvania.
Paytas died in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained from multiple gunshot wounds. He was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on November 16, 2005.
Pvt. Kelley S. Prewitt, 24, of Alabama.
Killed in action by enemy fire in Iraq. Prewitt was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment. Died on April 6, 2003.
Capt. Russell B. Rippetoe, 27, of Colorado.
Killed when a car exploded at a checkpoint in western Iraq. He was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on April 3, 2003.
Sgt. Michael T. Robertson, 28, of Houston, Texas.
Robertson died at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas of injuries sustained in Samarra, Iraq, on October 17, 2005 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 25, 2005.
Sgt. Monta S. Ruth, 26, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Ruth died in Samarra, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle during security patrol operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on August 31, 2005.

Salie died in Ba'qubah, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3d Infantry Division. Died on February 14, 2005.
Staff Sgt. Jens E. Schelbert, 31, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Schelbert died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his forward operating base was attacked by enemy forces using indirect fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on October 1, 2005.

Scheuerman died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on July 30, 2005.

Shea died in Husaybah, Iraq, of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Died on August 25, 2005.

Sirko died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Died on April 17, 2005.

Killed in action after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq on March 23, 2003. He was assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company.
Spc. Tomas Garces, 19, of Weslaco, Texas.
Garces died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was attacked by enemy forces using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1836th Transportation Company. Died on September 6, 2004.

Killed when ambushed by enemy forces in Iraq. He was assigned to the 507th Ordnance Maintenance Company. Died on March 23, 2003.

Jones died in Baghdad, Iraq, as a result of a non-combat cause. As medical surgical nurse in support of area operations, Jones was assigned to the 31st Combat Support Hospital. Died on March 7, 2004.

Killed in action after her convoy was ambushed in Iraq on March 23, 2003. She was assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company.

Killed in action after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq on March 23, 2003. He was assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company.

Master Sgt. Joseph J. Andres, Jr., 34, of Seven Hills, Ohio.
Andres died in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained earlier that day in Baqubah, Iraq, when he was attacked by enemy forces during combat operations. He was assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Died on December 24, 2005.
Sgt. Andrew Joseph Baddick, 26, of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
Baddick drowned as he tried to rescue another soldier whose vehicle had entered a canal near Abu Ghraib Prison, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Died on September 29, 2003.
