"There are still many missing soldiers and casualties from wars in the past...
My heart goes forever to you all...
And this song is dedicated to all you countless heroes.....

Miyeh's song, a patriotic song entitled "Nameless Heroes", was written for all the American soldiers who loved, and served our country. They've fought for, protected, and kept our freedoms, and the freedoms of others. When aggressive nations invaded weaker ones, as seen during WWII when the Nazis & Japanese raged, the American soldiers went into action, and brought stability to the globe, almost like an international police force - without whom, the world, as we know it would not exist today. As over 9,000 American soldiers are buried in France, who died in the battle of Normandy, and as a great many more died at the hands of Nazis, and in Korea, Vietnam and ..., Miyeh honors these countless (and sometimes forgotten) heroes who?ve given their precious lives to keep freedom alive for us here in America, and for strangers in strange lands all over the world. Miyeh has a deep understanding and appreciation for the priceless and noble sacrifices that the American soldiers have made for freedom throughout the world.

Visit youtube, and hear the song for the American veterans and soldiers
under " Nameless Heroes by miyeh". Thank you again."

"I know you came from my hometown and you were a soldier like me. Sometimes I feel that it should be me and not one with family distrought and alone in that hell. The hell on Earth of living without their loved one and living financially burdened. I live in pain from being injured everyday, but you made the ultimate sacrifice without selfishness. You were a true soldier and for that I am honored to know your family and let them know that it is my job to do what I should do for any family member. And by that I mean that military members are family and they have that silent code to be there for fallen soldiers and their families. This is also for disabled veterans too. God bless your family this Veteran's day!"
Pamela Johnson of Northport,AL

"We crossed paths for a moment they choose you over me. I'm grateful for your sacrifice ; knowing that I should have stayed in Okinawa. I remember that night we spoke; I know your in heaven because of you I will be able to raise my children. Your sacrifice will not go softly into the wind."
Cpl Ismael Arellano (USMC) 2001-2005 of Reno, Nevada

"Today I continue to complete the arrangements for my trip to LAO PDR were I will attend the First States Party Meeting to work on the Treaty to Ban Cluster Munitions, signed into force 08/01/2010. It was while clearing a US cluster munition that Travis was killed. I have learned a great deal about this weapon since the loss of my son. I have learned that 98% of the victims are civilians, 30% of those are children and more of our own troops were injured or killed by our own cluster bombs in Desert Storm than any other enemy weapon. So in honor of my beloved son Travis I will continue to work to push all countries especially the US to stop manufacturing, stockpiling and using this weapon. I beg all other who value humane life and our troops to join me."
Lynn Bradach of Portland, OR

"To the loved ones who will always grieve for the loss of Sgt. Lord, I extend my deepest condolences and I will be eternally grateful to Sgt. Lord and all of our brave soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrafice. I get angry at our politicians who fail to provide supportive services to the families of the fallen, the injured and the their families and the proper medical services for those who suffer from PTSD. I grew up with Rocky Saxbe who is a Marine and served in Vietnam. We have discussed the ill advised wars and conflicts which have cost the people in this country so much. I pray each evening for the safety and well being for our soldiers who fight for our freedom. God bless our brave soldiers and their families who endure so much."
Richard Lord of Reynoldsburg, Ohio , USA

"Many don't know this, or maybe it's irrelevant to the life of Dixon, but this soldier reenlisted in Iraq, besides what his contribution was, he bellied up for more, he loved his duty, and he loved his country, he was a patriotic person that gave his all, his first sergeant was extremely grieved over his loss, and spoke eloquently about this soldier and was hard pressed to speak about him while we were in Iraq, for fear of coming to tears to express his feelings about this soldier, I know this beacause I reenlisted him, me and Jim Tembrock. Every morning when I awaken I think I am in the desert, and I hope Dixon sees that beautiful pink sunrise every minute of his life now."

"I served in da same unit with Spc. Mcglothin before we were deployed and while on deployment. We always called him HAPPY CLOWN bc he looked like a clown and was always smiling. During the explosion i was in a fueler right behind the humvee he was gunning while we were on our way to camp cuervo to pickup supplies. when i heard the explosion i thought our fueler had got hit but come to find out it was him. i just wanna say i was proud to serve with him bc we always laughed together and when we were in the barracks i use to always ask him WHY HE ALWAYS WEAR BLACK! I'll always keep a special place in my heart for him and all the other fallen soldiers."

"To the Smith family,
You do not know me ,but the flag your husband and father received for the life he gave in the fight for the freedom of ourselves and others is from a part of family. My name is Tracy Kendall, and I live in Palm Harbor Fl. My father, 1st Sgt William L Kendall (RET), was responsible for Medal Of Honor Flag. I am retired form the Army due to injuries in the line of duty. When I saw the presentation by President Bush it took my heart away to see Pauls youg son accept the medal on his behalf. I hope you are all well, and if there is anything I can help you all with just e-mail tkendall5@verizon .net. There are those close by who think that the actions of SFC. Paul Smith cannot be recognized by just a medal alone. It means that each and every AMERICAN owes him just alittle. May God be with all of you."
SGT. (RET) Tracy L. Kendall of Palm Harbor, Fl

"I remember my son in Iraq, My eyes gluded to the T.V. watching, Waiting, for the day that it would be his turn to die.
I remember the cell phone calls as I stood frozen in the store, I didn't move as I thought I might lose the connection.
I remember each trip to the airport, The awkward silence, I remember the hug goodbye and smelling his skin, not knowing if it was to be the last time I would see him.
I remember the time he was in the Chicago Airport and he said that he will not go back. I cried as I told him that he must!
The pain of Loving our soldiers transcends any that I have known, And now I feel you are all my family as we know the Pain of war. I Love you, all!"

"To the family of SSG Hector Perez, I served with SSG Perez in Darmstadt Germany 165TH MI, in 1997. I just learned of his passing today, 09 March 2010 in an email and it broke my heart and brought me to tears as if it were yesterday. Your husband, your father, your son and brother was my friend. He was very kind to me and had a personality that lit up a room, he always had a kind word and a cunning smile, for him the glass was always half full. I remember him well and till this day I can still hear him calling me "H" never by name Harrison. It was an honor to have served with him but a blessing to have known him. He loved his family "his girls" with the heart big enough for a Titan!

Rest with the Angels "P"

"There is no one on the planet who's belief is greater than mine, and I say that with the conviction of "Job"(from the bible) . During Viet-Nam, I was in solitary confinement for 3 months, and 9 days in the breadbox. My vibrational stance has always, since that day, been the same pitch, which I hear 24hrs. a day. At that time I was naked and alone in a 5'x5' cell. In my desperate situation I challenged "GOD", Himself and asked," GOD? If You exist, then why must we, (Your children, made in Your image), suffer so? A voice came to me, not audible, but of intuition, and said to me, My precious, precious child, I, Your Father, have always loved you and always will! You have never and will never, be alone! You must be Your best and do Your best, because, You are MY Sons and Daughters! Evil and negativity are not a part of ME. Please hear me, I miss you! You are Me and I am You! My commandment to you, as I've told you before,"Go and sin no more! Separate yourself from the things that separate You from ME!" At this point I felt a tingling sensation, starting at the very top of my head, radiating to the tip of my toes, giving me rushing feeling over my entire body, making my hair stand on end! Then came,"THE KISS"! A set of physical "LIPS", pressed against my left cheek. From this point on, the rest of my life, has been in constant communion with this ENTITY, whatever you choose to call it."

"THE FATHER?S HEART
Kenny Bickford
Portsmouth, VA.
June 18,1992
(Father?s Day)
Something awoke me at 2am and pushed me to the dinning room table to write this down as fast as possible
It was flooding my mind faster than I could write! When it was completed, I read and cried. Something was pushing me. I took last $50, had 2000 copies made and was pushed to hand them out to 2000 people on Virginia Beach, VA. People tried to have me arrested but, I wasn?t selling anything! Since then I felt it was a gift to all those loosing a loved one. My desire is that it might speak to your heart.- Thank you, Kenny B.

"My heart goes out to every mother who has lost her son; I was fortunate to get my son back. I would like to share with you, all of you, there is no war on terrorism. It is a sham. I am just a housewife who once believed we were fighting for a just cause. I am now convienced it is all a hoax. At our childrens expense. Think about when the towers fell. They fell just as a building would fall if it were to be demolished. Our government is letting over 2.5 million illegals in this country since this tradegy. I was clueless until this past weekend when the real terror came face to face with me. Ask questions? I called Homeland
Security to report the incident, and was told they work from 8"30-4:30 M-F, no complaints after hours, nor weekends or holidays. I have been devistated at our loss, due to a Government who is allowing all of this to happen for profit. All of them should be impeached, they are funding illegals to own thier own business, interest free, while we still are losing our children to a fake war. Make some noise, make it stop, I have wrote and called every agency I could think of; and no one responded. My child is alive; to many are dead for nothinhg. I am no on but a mother and a wife and what I witnessed this past weekend calls for action. We are being scammed and they meaning the government knows it. Look up the Coppenhagen Treaty: Calls for a One World Order. God gave us free will. I am doing my part the best I know how, never experienced anything like it in my life. I am begging the mothers of the lost ones to stand together in one voice and make the government stop. Please read up on it. That has all I have been doing for the last three days. And the information that is on the net; is so disturbing.
Our own government is setting us up.
WAKE UP!"

IN MY LAST LETTER THAT I
WROTE TO YOU MY DARLING;

I JUST DIDN'T HAD THE HEART
TO TELL YOU MY DARLING,

THAT I WAS LEAVING YOU
TONIGHT;

BUT IT WASN'T MY OWN
CHOOSING OF LEAVING YOU
TONIGHT,

WE WERE CAUGHT BETWEEN A
CROSSFIRE WITH THE ENEMY
OUT HERE ON THE BATTLEFIELD;

SOME HOW A STRAY BULLET HAD
MADE ITS WAY IN ME OUT HERE
ON THE BATTLEFIELD,

IN MY LAST LETTER THAT I

I JUST DIDN'T HAD THE HEART
TO TELL YOU MY DARLING,

THAT I WAS LEAVING YOU

BUT IT WASN'T MY OWN

AS I LAY DYING OUT HERE ON
THE BATTLEFIELD TONIGHT;

I'M RECITING PSALM TWENTY

THAT I WAS LEAVING YOU

When you said good bye to your parents. I was visiting my parents.

"I recall SFC Ordish's events as well....I was able to attend Capt. Miller's funeral and I was moved beyond words. I imediately wanted payback for what had happened to him and voulentered to go to Iraq. I was fortunate enough to of survived. Capt. Miller was hands down the best CO I have ever had in ACTIVE duty or NATIONAL GUARD! He told you like it was wether you wanted to hear it or not. I wept at the petoskey vietnam veterans moving wall in 2008 when I saw the OIF/OEF veterand tags... there were gold dog tags there of fallen hero's of both wars. I read the names of 6 people I have served and with and whom I consider my brothers that day and it hit me harder than any IED I encountered in Iraq. You are and always will be my Hero! God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me." FOLLOW THE RAINBOW TO HEAVEN.
=======================================

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;

Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,

But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;

The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,

Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;

All the way to the end of the
sky.

That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,

So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;

Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

"I would like to honor the fallen heroes by sharing with their loved ones the poem I wrote based on my own near death experience:

WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

It?s been a long time since I saw you last.
I remember how we used to laugh and cry, talk and play.
Been with you was so much fun!
Now I feel how much I really miss you.

Sometimes when I lay down in bed I think of you.
I remember the fun times we spent together and I wonder
if someone is there with you sharing a laugh or two.
Where are you now?

Where am I now you ask?
Well, let me tell you??.
I?m in a place of love and joy
A place of music and lights.

I didn?t feel sad or lost or had any fear when I left
Because when I closed my eyes for the last time
My soul went to this beautiful place
Where I felt I was in my new loving home.

It was like there were two front doors in our house
One next to the other, and when my eyes closed
The first door closed too but the second one opened
And led me to this beautiful new world.

When I died I felt warm and fuzzy and happy.
I was excited to be in this new place of music and lights
And after a while I new that one day I?ll see you again
When you too come to this beautiful place.

We now live in two different worlds
Being so far apart we can?t see each other like before
For now I will be your invisible friend and
Silently I?ll laugh and cry and play with you.

For now I will be in your heart and in your memories
Think of me and I?ll be there with you
Smile when you remember me
And you will feel that I?m smiling back at you.

Don?t cry because I?m not around anymore
Be happy that we had each other for a while
Live your life with joy and love
And trust yourself to be the best that you can be.

I love you forever and will wait for the day
When we can be together again
In this wonderful place of music and lights
where I am now waiting for you.

"As an Army Recruiter who speak to thousands of Americans each year, it seems to me that most people think Freedom was purchased at Walmart. Low price, convinient, and close to your house. For those of us who shared a foxhole far away from home, who lost a brother in arms, Freedom has a different taste. Let's remember every day gave us that Freedom. Remember those who gave it all!"
SFC Martinez Gabriel A of Jacksonville, FL

"Ever since I was a young child, I would always, for some reason unbeknownst to me, cry on memorial day. My dad, a Vietnam vet, would talk to me and explain that I would cry because I was very thankful for their sacrifice.

As I am now thirty years old I realize that not only is this true, but I feel an awful sense of emptiness- especially when I puruse the list of fallen sons, daughters, husbands, wives, moms and dads who are younger than I. And I think about where I was when I was 22, 23, 24, 25 years old and of the things I had seen and experienced at those ages.

If I could give those years back and in so doing restore to the living those same children who so bravely and selflessly sacrificed all...I would do it in a heartbeat.

But I realize that that can never happen. And so, to those families who feel the burning emptiness that is the loss of a loved one on the field of battle, I offer the long forgotten words included in a letter to Mrs. Bixby in Boston, MA many years ago:
***
Dear Madam,--

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

Keith Krummenacher of St. Louis, Missouri

"Unselfishly, you left your fathers and your mothers, You left behind your sisters and your brothers. Leaving your beloved children and wives, You put on hold your dreams, your lives. On foreign soil, you found yourself planted To fight for those whose freedom you granted. Without your sacrifice, their cause would be lost But you carried onward, no matter the cost. Many horrors you had endured and seen. Many faces had haunted your dreams. You cheered as your enemies littered the ground You cried as your brothers fell all around. When it was over, you all came back home, Some were left with memories to face all alone Some found themselves in the company of friends As their crosses cast shadows across the land. Those who survived were forever scarred Emotionally, physically, permanently marred. Those who did not, now sleep eternally Beneath the ground they had given their lives to keep us free. With a hand upon my heart, I feel The pride and respect my reverence is revealed In the tears that now stream down my upturned face As our flag waves above you, in her glory and grace. Freedom was the gift that you unselfishly gave Pain and death was the price that you ultimately paid. Every day, I give my utmost admiration To those who had fought to defend our nation. ~Author Unknown~"

"It has been over five years since I lost you. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Your face is engraved in my mind. You will always have my heart. It hurts so much living life without you. At times I thought I was going crazy. All I am trying to do is live my life, but there are certain people who have been mean and saying mean things about us while they hide behind their computer screens as the cowards they are. They want to criticize a relationship they truly know nothing about. I find peace in remembering that what we shared was only about us. This one girl who continues to speak badly of us while hiding behind her computer in peachtree city, georgia doesnt know the first thing about what it means to lose your best friend. It is a tragic loss and a very painful one. But that's okay my love. This love is between us. Only you and me babe. You are sacred in my heart. Until we meet again."

"Crazy, your death has truly made me crazy. I loved you and you loved our country. I tried to talk you out of it but it was impossible. I hope you know how I felt, how I loved you, how I still love you. All the songs, pictures, all the drinks hurt me. You hurt me. I feel like you did this to me. It hurts me but now when the military salutes, I salute. I have given the gift for my country. I hope you know, I have suffered. I know you never meant to hurt me. I know that's why you called me but it stil hurts. It will always hurt. Thank you for trying to make it right; no one knows, just us. I love you in some crazy way until the day I die!"

He's fighting off this war, while I'm waiting back home. You can see the determination in his eyes, and feel the strength in his heart. He's the strongest man you know, even while your apart. You miss him like crazy, but wouldn't have it any other way. While he's fighting for us we fight to stay okay. He's the pride that I feel and the love that I hold. "Every Friday afternoon, from 12-1pm, a group of retired (and occasionally active) Veterans gather at Monument Terrace here in Lynchburg, Va. to show support for our troops serving far from home. This "rally" has been going for over 380 consecutive weeks! Rain or shine, hot or cold...nothing prevents the gathering. I joined them, having never served in the military, a few months ago; And I've been hooked. I plan to see it through until the last troops come home. It isn't about politics either. No matter what your stand is on the reasons for going to war, everyone is welcome. I'll be flying my flag this Friday for Jim Cathey. This is an open invitation for all to join us (we usually number between 20-30 flags). Check it out on youtube...just look up Monument Terrace Rally...Or check out the "Running Color Guard" from the Virginia Ten Miler. We run for the Troops as well. It's on youtube under "Patriotic Flag Run", I carry the National 9-11 Rememberance Flag. THANK YOU !!!!"

"The Human Cost of War- I went for a long trip over the weekend. It was my nieces 6th birthday. She was born 7 days before her dad was deployed to Iraq. It was the only time they would spend together. The last time I talked to my brother, was 6 years ago today. He called with great news and bad news all at the same time. He wanted to tell me his first child, a little girl was born. He said his mom was there and that she cried. He said the birth was truly a miracle and his wife was amazing. He was a very proud father and he had always loved kids so I knew he would be a very hands on dad. Then he told me that he was being deployed and was leaving in a few days. My heart sank and we talked about what it all meant. He said that he had been training for this for 5 years and it was his job. He told me not to worry. We exchanged several emails before he actually left and then he was gone to Iraq. I kept in touch with his wife while he was gone and starting in October we were really excited because he was coming home the next month. Well, he came home early because he was KIA around the end of October. I met my neice for the first time in the parking lot of a funeral home in Arlington Virginia, she was 7 months old. I met her mom for the first time standing in front of my brothers coffin a little while later when we entered the funeral home.
Shortly after her 4th birthday, I traveled again to see my niece. This time I was also there to attend her mothers funeral. Her mom had passed on after years of struggling with severe PTSD and all of the evil that comes with it. Once again, we traveled to D.C. and buried her there with her husband, my brother. Section 60.
So it was great to see my niece she is a beautiful 6 year old with both her parents wonderfully woven all through her. It was also very emotional for me, I feel like she has been cheated of so much. I feel like we all have. My parents, my sister in laws parents, my niece especially and all of the families who live with situations like this. My heart breaks for the Gold Star Mothers and Fathers and Families."

"He's five foot two
And he's six feet four
He fights with missiles and with spears
He's all of thirty-one
And he's only seventeen
He's been a soldier for a thousand years.

He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killin' can't go on.

He's the universal soldier
And he really is to blame
His orders come from far away no more
They come from here and there
And you and me
And brothers, can't you see?
This is not the way we put the end to war."

"I have moments ago completed watching Taking Chance. I did not understand the title until the end but the depth of what it meant, and the sacrifice which was made by a young man who seemed so fearless and unselfish was completely admirable. Wow, it has been over three years ago since you passed. I will tell you it doesnt make it any easier. I finally have the courage to read through these without dropping a tear. Reading through all these messages brings back all that you were. YOU were the man and father, the man that we all try to be. Its a sad fact that you died on Fathers Day. Kind of ironic though, your kids have grown into such wonderful young adults. They are all so good looking and going the right direction. I cant believe it was so long ago when we were hanging out on Wiamaiha (sp) Bay, chasing kids off the rocks or keeping them from the undertoe. God, I miss you brother. Wish you were here to see it all going on. I know your watching and guiding all who knew you! I love you Mike and miss you! See you in a while."

"My name was spc Shelley, I slept above Jesse, I got sent back two weeks before the bombing, of Jesse and the others. I offer my deepest sympathies to all those who knew Jesse. This has haunted me since it happened. I feel that it should have been me. If had not been for my wife, I would never had let this out. I do apologize for not being there to take his place seeing how it was my bunk that the mortar hit. I do deeply wish I had been there since I had no family. Jesse did have family and all I can pray for is that his family knows what he gave for his country and that he loved them SO much. It puts me in tears to write this. Everytime I hear the song green bereay... I think of Jesse! He sang it evey night. I am still haunted by this moment in my life. If anyone would like to contact me, reach me at crashem83_165@yahoo.com for venting or memoribled stories. I still to this day wish it had been been me and I pray that his wife and fanily are doing well."

"I thinks that these servicemen and women do incredible things on a daily basis to try and stabilise the future of there loves ones and for the rest of us. To prvide a secure world a world free of terrorism, but for many heroic soldiers they sadly pass on, but to a better world a world that is intirely free from pain and grief. These men and women should never be forgotten,my prairs go out to all those who have lost love ones, and those who fear the bad news, may god be with you all.."

I wish you would have gottan the help you needed after you got out of the military, but I will never forget the night of October 31, 2008, when I found out what happened to you. "A Poem for Christmas (found by Ronni)

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the
sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

'What are you doing?' I asked without fear,
'Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!'

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..
To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said 'Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.'

'It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December,'
Then he sighed, 'That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.'

My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.
I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.

Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..

Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.'
'So go back inside,' he said, 'harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right.'

'But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
'Give you money,' I asked, 'or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son.'

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
'Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

"November 19, 2008
Piestewa Family and friends of Lori Piestewa.....
My name is SSG Wurster, I was a part of the 11th ada brigade, 5-52 ada battalion when lori's life was taken. I heard about the news only hours later. There is no words that can describe the pain and sorrow I feel for the family and friends of Lori's on a daily basis. I never personally known Lori, but I had seen her in the motorpool several times prior to our deployement. I wish I had actually been a part of the convoy, to either prevent this incident from happening, and quite possibilly gave my life in replace for hers. I hope that the spirits may watch over you from above. God Bless every one. You Will Never Be Forgotten Lori!"

A Veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.''

Thank you, brave soldiers, and May God Bless you families...."

"The soldiers do not speak. Nevertheless, they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say: We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say: Our deaths are not ours: they are yours they will mean what you make them. Chewin' on a piece of grass walkin' down the road
tell me, how long you gonna stay here Joe?
Some people say this town don't look good in snow
You don't care, I know.

Ventura Highway, in the sunshine
Where the days are longer
The nights are stronger than moonshine
You're gonna go I know

Cause the free wind is blowin' through your hair
and the day surround your daylight there
Seasons cryin' no despair
Alligator lizards in the air

Wishin' on a fallin' star
Watchin' for the early train
Sorry boy, but I've been hit by purple rain
Aw, come on Joe, you can always change your name
Thanks alot son, just the same

There is never a day goes by that I do not think of him of the members of his unit that are over there now. To all the Moms, Dads, brothers, sisters and other family members, my your hero's star shine bright above the rest and the tears of pain ease as time passes on. "Sgt Kennon i am almost afraid to leave this message. I think of you often. That day changed me alot internally. I really missed having you there to talk too through the rest of the deployment. You were a kind and very thoughtful friend. I only wish we could have hung out like we had planned. I ran away from this subject so long because every event of that day replays in my mind and it is hard to hold back anger and tears of a loss of not only a freind but a brother, brother in arms. I pray that the lord will ease the pain of your family members and often wished i could have taken your place as of many others. All i remember after comming back from the mission was the look of everyones face. And giving Doc Crews a hug. We all still remember you and can't wait to see you at the gates. I still relive that day every once in a while but then I remember all the great things you said to me that made sense and still do to this day. You were a great man of faith in God. And that thought alone has helped me cope with those feelings of emptyness.

Your friend,

Charles Butcher

"America's fallen shall never be lost treasure. America's fallen is our only treasure. As I read through the comments herein I am at a loss for the words I need to know in order to adequately express my feelings. The words "thank you" to a family member who's son, daughter, father, mother, sister or brother has made the ultimate sacrafice...seems so routine and cliche. Let us honor them by insuring that their lives sacraficed was for not, nor in vain! Let us keep their memories alive by finishing the fight, spreading the word about how they believed in the cause and that by defeating our enemies in the GWOT is honor enough! We are the next greatest generation and what we do today will evidence in the future that we acted without malice, without personal agendas...we acted because it was the right thing to do? Rise up America in November and let John McCain get it done!"
Martin L. Hudler of Lake Oswego, Oregon

"We will not allow those who have given all to be dishonored or forgotten by those of us still here this November. Vote McCain and you'll be voting for the memory of Brandon, and so many others sacraficing everything so that you and I can enjoy all that they provide for us!"

"My Father was retired Maj. Dennis B. Dray, he left the "Low Flight" message. My father passed away very unexpectedly on July 17th. My father loved our country and all the men and women who fought to defend it. I wantd you to know who my dad was. He enlisted right out of high school and was immediately sent to Viet Nam and served multiple terms. Upon his return, he enlisted in the USNRG in Waterloo, IA until he was transferrred via TDY at the Arizona ARNG Flight Training Facility in Marana. Arizona. My father retired in March of 2000. My father made it his mission that no soldier ever went forgotten, and now, in his honor, I will do this for him. Godspeed to all those my father would have reached out to. You are in our thoughts and prayers, just as you would have been in my fathers. Our thoughts and prayers to all the family members out there of fallen angels trying to make sense of this all. We are doing the same. You are in our thoughts and prayers daily. God bless you and God Bless America! Love from Iowa!"

"I was a Corpsman when the Navy had wooden ships and iron men. Well almost I served from 1964-70. I too was stationed with the fine fighting men of the US Marine Corp. I would not want to fight with any others. "Doc" Johnson has given his all for the very freedoms we all seem to take for granted some times. He gave of his life freely so that others are free, he is the ultimate American. He also is in fine company with others who have sacrificed everything for the sake of others.

Excuse me for saying this because I am still a corpsman after all of these years, it takes a special kind of man or woman to be a Corpsman. When it's all said and done, he will be there to greet us, keep the faith."

"I am a 28yr. old American male and I am so thankful for the men and women willing to sacrifice for our country. There is a huge disconnect between the civilian population and the military population when it comes to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is impossible for us on the outside to understand the commitment and sacrifices that you and your families have made for us and those around the world so that we and they may have the chance to experience freedom bought with blood. I just recently read a book, Final Salute, it allowed me in the most minute way to realize how massive a debt of gratitude and prayer I owe all those who have sacrificed so much. Thank you, My prayers are with you and yours."
